The White Horse Curdworth

On entry to the white horse we were greeted and seated. The waitress was really nice and helpful. The food was delicious and will be returning.

the waitress that served us could not have been better, so friendly, so friendly, very beautiful. Even tho some of our decisions were not available, they gave us alternative and advised us to them.

food and service were error-free. my only complaining was that if I had booked 2 days in advance, I did not ask to be at a door, as my wife suffers from the cold bad circulation we got a table right next to a door. we have asked ourselves to be moved, but no other tables have been made available. it spoils the night.

The White Horse has been one of our favorite spots for many years, and we've always appreciated the food and the atmosphere it offers. It was wonderful to return recently after the long lockdowns and enjoy the experience again. The food was delightful, although the sweet potato fries were a bit burnt. However, this minor issue didn’t take away from the overall experience, and we look forward to visiting again.

I can confidently say that this will be my new favorite spot. The front-of-house staff were warm and welcoming, and we were allowed to choose our own table, which was a great way to start the evening. Then we met Harry! He served us in an area that's not typically used for dining, and he truly made our night perfect. Ordering off the menu was no issue at all; nothing was too much trouble. The service was exemplary and the ambience in the restaurant warm and welcoming. The food was pretty good and with a few tweaks this could be our new “ go to” local. Just pop a small dressed side salad on with the mains and get your onion rings sorted out beer batter not tempura and piping hot and you’ll be there. The atmosphere is lovely and staff attentive so no need for kitchen to rush things out. One more thing, get some traditional home made puddings on the menu syrup sponge, spotted dick, bread and butter.

The ‘King’ prawn cocktail was presented on a scalding hot plate, while the salt and pepper calamari was excessively coated in dry paprika. The steak was unappetizing, consisting mostly of fat and gristle, and the lamb in the duo was merely warm, whereas the accompanying shepherd's pie was like molten lava! The quality of the food was disappointing overall, but I must commend the staff for their excellent service—they took the charge off the bill. We genuinely enjoy this place, so please make the necessary improvements. Also, ensure that the menu aligns with what’s displayed on the website!

armed. wait over 10 minutes to ask what we want to drink. then waited 10 minutes to drink. then waited for our order. table next to us came after, but still to order and receive food before us. the starter was king prawns and it was the smallest part for the price and tasteless. we waited for over 40 minutes to the main page. in this time the table that came after us had finished eating there and we stayed waiting. not combined to the floor or in kitchens. very disappointed. I ordered a koks for my head and finished my head and koks did not arrive yet and that had to be canceled as I was tired to wait. very poor service. we were over when we were hungry.
