Steak should be in the bin chips covered in black stuff staff that young that they did not know what to say. Never again gone down hill over priced would never recommend

We came on Sunday for lunch, the carvery was excellent especially the roast beef,it was so tender and a great choice of vegetables. The staff were really pleasant and helpful. We will certainly be back.

While in the area with my wife for work, we decided to try out this pub that we had never visited before. We were greeted by a very polite young man whose service was excellent. We had a great time chatting about the prices of drinks, our week, and his mannerism was a rare find these days. The drinks were of high quality and the food matched just as well. I would recommend this pub to anyone in the area or visiting.

After waiting for 1 hour and 10 minutes after ordering, the staff finally came out to inform us that they had just started cooking our food. The food was cold and when we asked for a refund, we were confronted by 8-10 rude and vocal staff members, in front of other diners including children. The manager displayed no customer service skills and was arrogant. I would highly recommend avoiding this restaurant at all costs.

We practically turned up at the last minute, due to unforeseen problems, and they were fantastic; very friendly and very accommodating. The meals were very reasonably priced and the food was excellent. (The Steak and Ale pie was in puff pastry, and I’m a shortcrust lover, but it was done in such a way by Aaron the chef, it was just as good. His chips were excellent also). The service was good from Ashley and the barman (whose name I sadly can’t remember), even let me try some ‘Neck Oil’ beer as we had been discussing strengths of different types.
