Disgusting filthy place. Stank of old reused oil. Could not bring ourselves to order the slop being served. Place made more disgusting by rude racist sexist manager.

The most friendliest village pub we have ever visited and would not hesitate to recommend the only regret is we didn't eat there we went elsewhere and it was absolute rubbish

Lovely home made food we had the carvery which was amazing even got some meat scraps for our dog from the landlady Drinks are very reasonably priced and the pub has been recently refurbished to a lovely standard it’s just a shame they didn’t sort the toilets out Visualizza piatti

Me and my wife went to try the new chefs menu at the Woodroffe on Sunday. I had the Pork Belly with creamy mash potato and my wife had the homemade pie with homemade chips. The presentation of both meals was excellent and tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Bar man very friendly and had a conversation which was an unexpected surprise. Don’t get much back nowadays!! Guinness was good and the wood burner was on so nice and warm. Due to warm welcome we would return if in the area. Pub apparently very busy when the campsite opens but with the recent good food reviews could mean a good season for them

Just had a drink in the beer garden. The outside waiter (an older man) emptied half finished beers straight onto the ground instead of emptying them down the sink indoors. He also poured a bucket of ice on the ground, splashing a customer’s legs; no apology!! Very unprofessional and unhygienic behaviour. Who knows what the other standards are like! Visualizza piatti

We had a meal here for the first time tonight. We had the Belly Pork the Woodroffe Burger. Both meals were excellent. I asked if I could have the burger without a bun they put a large beef tomato slice on the top the bottom which I thought was a great idea. Both meals had a different twist to them were delicious. The setting was lovely in the newly refurbished conservatory finally the service the staff were spot on. We will be back highly recommend this lovely Pub.

This is the second time we've eaten at the Woodroofe, and this visit actually surpassed the first time! (which was also excellent) I opted for the lamb rump, which was the prices thing on the menu, but definitely worth it. Cooked to absolute perfection, and juicy and tender. The bubble and squeak was equally as good, and was cooked in the lamb fat if I'm not very much mistaken. My friend had the pork belly, which she said was absolutely lovely. The sauce especially was perfect for the dish. This chef really knows his combinations! Bar-wise, it was very much business as usual, as there were a few people also waiting to be served, but the atmosphere was as friendly as last time, and the prices...

Went for a day out in the Peaks and stopped at this pub for some lunch. It was very busy because it was a weekend and the sun was shining I was happy to see Cruz Campo on tap, and my wife had a cider that she liked but I can't remember what it was! The fella behind the bar was really friendly and said he'd take our food order into the kitchen as soon as he could because he had a queue. It only took him a few minutes to get everyone served. I had a lovely spicy pannini with chips and homemade coleslaw and my wife had a massive jacket potato with chilli and cheese which she said was absolutely perfect. Not soggy and bland like you seem to get at most pubs and not tight with the butter and fil... Visualizza piatti
