"Called in on a Friday just after 8pm with my 3 kids(age 15,11,11) as had seen board outside earlier advertising tapas. Very welcoming, great atmosphere, Only small but vibrant, fast efficient, friendly service. Estrella on draught always a good sign, kids loved their ice teas free sweets. Then the tapas arrived, all served together, good size portions, really tasty yet very reasonably priced. Will be back. Couldn't recommend highly enough."

Stopped in with friends on Friday night and was really impressed with the venue. A great relaxed atmosphere for a Friday night, a good mixture between people eating and drinking and no rowdy lads on a night out. Wine was great, staff lovely and the doorman a real friendly guy. Bring Toast to Perranporth please!

"This review is really frustrating for me to write, because I really wanted to like this place. I came here with my family for dinner, booking a table here is fairly easy and it does get quite packed so it’s well recommended if you wanna avoid disappointment. We were seated at our table, and we ordered our drinks as well as our mains. Now fair enough the restaurant was fairly busy, but that is no excuse for making mistakes such as bringing the wrong drinks or forgetting our order, meaning we had to order our drinks and our entire starters and mains all over again. And it doesn’t seem like this was an isolated incident with us, as I heard another table nearby us was complaining to one of the staff members, who I will give credit to was very professional about the criticism. Once our food arrived, the starters were nice, item such as the fried pickles and the squid bites are nice appetisers that will get you prepped up for your main without filling you up before you eat it! However, the mains I’m sorry to say are average at best. I ordered a chicken snack burger which was smothered in oil, I mean I took one bite of it and the oil practically started pouring out. Makes eating it a very messy affair. Also for the money you spend on them, the quality you get I’m sorry to say, I just don’t think it equates to it. I didn’t order an alcoholic drink, but my relatives who did say they were nice and they are admittedly worth the money you spend on them. Atmosphere wise it’s nice in there, it’s like a proper steakhouse vibe so on that point they’ve got spot on. But I feel like the staff in there aren’t supported as much as it’s clear they seemed kind of overwhelmed by the busyness of the restaurant, which probably led to the mistakes that happened that night. I would hope to one-day visit this place again, because I really did want to like this place, and the service wasn’t that bad it just needs a bit of work."

"We have been visiting the Harbour Fish and Grill for many years. We were disappointed this time. We arrived at the restaurant, sat down, and looked forward to our meal. The room seemed soulless, not atmosphere, a bit of background music might have helped. Now, this is a very fish/seafood based restaurant. One of my party does not eat sea food so asked the waitress if anything could be done about the steak dish which had scallops and lobster gravy (in the past they have gone into the kitchen to ask the chef and have always accomated us with an ammened dish). She said, No, but you can 't taste the lobster in the gravy which wasn 't the point, really. Also asked we could have some bread and olives to start, the waitress sarcastically replied 'it 's artisan bread, is that ok, we don 't have olives ' we felt that she had a bit of an attitude. Three of us ordered fish and chips, and one ordered the lamb ragu. The food came out very quick, literally 5 minutes after the waitress took the order, thought that was odd. The fish came with a sardine ketchup, and a few pickles. None of us liked the sardine ketchup, it was a much better dish when the fish was served with tartar sauce and peas. My fish had several bones, which I find off putting. A good fish restaurant should know how to fillet a fish well. The ragu was ok, but it seemed like a lot of money for a pasta dish. The desserts haven 't changed that much over the years. Quite sweet, they look fancy but don 't deliver on taste. As for the drinks, bottles of wine start at £32 and the soft drinks come in very small bottles, so if you have thirsty kids, prepare to spend a lot. We felt the service was rushed, we were in there for less than an hour, when you are spending that much money on a meal you expect for it to be leisurely and not feel like you are being pushed out the door. Overall, we were very disappointed, like we were last year, it used to be our favourite restaurant, now we feel it 's trying to be fancy for fancy sake. Go back to doing good, simple food, please."
