We went to this restaurant for a family dinner on a Friday night. We made a reservation to ensure we had a table as it was the beginning of the weekend. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived, and we had to wait 5-10 minutes before being seated (which was not a problem). We chose to have the carvery dinner, which had a good selection of meats available.

The food at this restaurant was excellent and there was plenty of it. The meats were all cooked to perfection and served with a generous amount of vegetables and sides. However, the atmosphere left something to be desired. It felt more like a school cafeteria than a dining establishment, with children running around and causing a lot of noise. It was hard to relax and enjoy our meal with all the commotion going on around us.

Have visited the Toby at Oulton and as usual the food was good quality and a good selection. Our waitress Courtney was fantastic, she was courteous, polite but also very funny joining in with our conversation. There was however one downside. We decided to have dessert, and I wanted something with ice cream, so I picked Youdel which was ice cream with apple pieces and toffee sauce. What I failed to notice was that it came in a yorkshire pudding. When it arrived myself and my friends could not stop laughing, having already had a yorkshire with my dinner I really did not need another one. The ice cream was great and I tried a small piece of the pudding but I have to say in my opinion ice cream... Visualizza piatti
