Warm, welcoming and welcoming trattoria. Everyone is very kind and super helpful. During our two-day stay in Palermo we almost always went there to eat because for us it was a guarantee as well as a place where we found an extraordinary welcome. Trattoria fatta in casa al di fuori del bedlam e della vita notturna del centro storico di Palermo, a due passi dalla centralissima Via Maqueda, si trova lungo il percorso di Via Judica, suggestiva e tranquilla, non lontano dalla Piazzetta dei Beati Paoli e dal Mercato del boss. Cibo eccellente: pasta e antipasti a base di pesce e naturalmente buoni piatti tipici del pesce. Pagato molto poco per gli standard di Palermo. We went early on a Sunday evening and found they didn't open until 7.00 pm. We returned at 7.00 and were very pleased that we did. We were the only customers on a late November Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed our entire dining experience. There were some challenges with communication but it simply added to our enjoyment. We ordered beer and wine and two courses each. Service simply indicated that everything was being prepared fresh which suited us fine. Our waiter, Nicola, was a little tentative but once we showed him that we were friendly turned out to be delightful. Overall excellent food at a good price and friendly and attentive service. I have read that others consider it a tourist trap....
