"When both my friend and I said to other people that we were going for fish and chips in Finchley, all the people independently asked if we were going to the very well known Two Brothers Fish Restaurant. We had not realised until then at how popular this North Finchley establishment was! There is always something comforting and classic about fish and chips! Two Brothers has a lot on offer including haddock, cod and plaice. They do grilled fish if you are not in the mood for the fried battered variety. Two Brothers has such a lovely welcoming feel to it and feels quite family orientated. It is a restaurant for everyone: couples, elderly folks, families and friends. Friday night and the take out line was super busy! Always a good sign.

Potential to do much better than it is doing for its setting. Horrible horrible take away fish and chips, scampi, from it's take away place next door.

This fish and chip restaurant is always bustling with customers, with tables placed very closely together. Despite the tight spacing, the restaurant is run efficiently. Just be sure to check that it is open on days when fishing is not allowed.

A combination of a take away fish and chip place and sit down restaurant. To be honest, if you stray far away from the fish and chips you are into mediocre ground, but why bother when you can have fish as good as this? Fresh, cooked to order, with excelle

I first came here when it was under the old management and they had really good fish and chips to takeaway or eat in at a very reasonable price. It was once one of the best in London. Having returned recently I was disappointed to notice a dip in quality.

The appetizers kept the positive vibe going at the restaurant. We decided to try the Battered prawns with mango and Crayfish ceviche. Both dishes were excellent, with Asian-inspired flavors such as mango chutney in the prawns and lemon and chili in the crayfish. These light starters were a great way to start our meal. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse with the main courses from the two brothers.

The Two Brothers Fish Restaurant on Regent's Park Road in Finchley is a small fish and chips establishment that also offers a variety of grilled fish and seafood dishes. Our group of eight ordered a mix of fish and chips and grilled fish. I tried both and found them to be well-cooked, with a crispy outer layer and juicy interior. The cod I tried was particularly delicious, with a subtle ale flavor that paired perfectly with lemon/lime and a dash of Tabasco. The service was good, although the staff could have been more cheerful. Overall, a worthwhile visit. If you're not in the mood to dine in, takeout is also an option.

It is a cliché, repeated so often (mainly by Northerners) that it has almost become an accepted fact, that there are no decent fish and chip shops in London. This is rubbish of course; there are some good fish and chip shops, there are just lots and lots of very bad ones. But there are also lots and lots of very bad restaurants of all kinds, and just because there's a Bella Pasta on every road in the West End doesn't mean the likes of Zucca and Trullo and Polpetto get overlooked. It's something unique to chippies, this idea that unless they're all good, they all simultaneously get dismissed as bad as one homogonous bunch. And it's also vaguely patronising why shouldn't producing a top...read...
