Brilliant pub lovely landlady excellent staff but I would advise not to scare the sheff, she's very nervous but good fun

Absolutely fantastic food here very good quality and portion size was fantastic highly recommended to one and all I personally feel like it is a must visit!!!

Warm and friendly welcome. Excellent Otter Ale promptly served! Good selection of pub standards on the menu. A pleasant surprise was several menu items were available as smaller portions. A very nice thing to see. Food was well prepared and of good quality. Enjoyable meal. Would certainly return.

Visited this restaurant for the first time and was very impressed with the great food selection and quality. The service was top-notch, with friendly banter and engaging conversation. I will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you for a wonderful lunch with friends. Looking forward to coming back soon.

We always enjoy coming to this pub when we are in the area, whether for lunch or in the evening. The food is consistently delicious and reasonably priced, and the service is always friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning. The fact that there are always locals in the pub speaks volumes about its charm and quality.

Avoid. I ordered the chicken burger with extra brie and bacon. This however ended up being 3 goujons in a bun, with non melted brie and flacid bacon. Not impressed, would not recommend. Much better places in the local area to choose from. A real shame as the pub itself is old, and has a real charm, severely let down with a poor menu, and execution of said poor menu.

Ordered the Panko breaded chicken burger at £17 I asked for Brie instead of the Monterey Jack cheese, which they did. But on arrival of said burger we were greeted with 3 chicken goujons in a bun. Really over priced for what it was and nothing special for a meal. When you order a chicken burger you at least expect one bit of meat, not three poxy chicken pieces. Could have at least butterflied a chicken breast and given us half of that. I don’t know what place would think of serving this and not a burger. We also had a banana split, pretty rubbish for the dessert. No whipped cream, served with rock hard clotted cream. Won’t be back anytime soon.
