"so a beautiful sound. the service was exceptional and the food was excellent. both female waitresses were beautiful. very dedicated and helpful, as we do not speak German. when we came back, the owner and the cook themselves served us and we were truly honored. he was very professional and attentive. He has sacrificed us all not and we have been blown away from eating again. it is a special place that we highly recommend."

the garden they have behind them, where they grow their sweet is simply wonderful to eat. eating is really good, the staff is nice. only that is that it is a bit expensive, but unlike that everything is perfect.

all menu is created by the owners, some incredible taste and combination, ex ziegenkäse eis, avocado eis. the service is the best in the world, so faithful and attentive to details. highly recommended if you want to try something new and fresh

Very good food, some small details can be improved but it is still very ggod. The staff is absolutely perfect, seldom met any staff better. Wine selections very professionally introduced, and presented, a little too much German wines, to be honest. If going to Lindau, I would definitively recommend it

"We found Villino by chance on our way from Germany to Italy......and what a find that was.In order to cut our long drive in half we decided to make a stop for the night in Lindau. The Hotel is located on a little hill and the drive goes up a narrow road. First we thought we made a wrong turn...but then the Villino (small Villa) appeared. Ample parking and a very inviting lobby gave us already a fantastic impression. The staff was incredible and very accommodating. The room was small and cozy...but it was the last one available since they were fully booked. The room, bath, bed, view....everything top notch. My wife Monika and I were tired from the drive and therefore decided not to drive into town for dinner. Please keep in mind that we choose the Villino for the hotel and NOT for their restaurant. We stumbled into the restaurant not knowing what a gourmet temple it was. We found out that is was a Top listed restaurant in Germany and the cream of the crop. Boy oh boy what treat it was. The tasting menu was not inexpensive but worth every penny. EVERYTHING was 500% perfect and too much to list. My wife and I constantly looked at eachother and could not believe what was happening to us: We were in seventh heaven. The best dinner we had EVER !!!We went to bed and had very pleasant dreams. We thought dinner was perfect and could not be topped.......but then we had breakfast outside in their courtyard. OMG what a wonderful breakfast. NO we should not call that a breakfast, it was more like a DREAM. Everything fresh, cooked, whipped or made to order. Everything tasted fantastic and we did not wanted to leave. LOLIf you ever pass thru Lindau or the Bodensee area you MUST stay here or at least eat there. You owe it to yourself."

"The Old Post is a bit from the Rummel. Restaurant and hotel in one, but we only ate. Circa 15 cozy walk from the port of Lindau you have to go there. Many tables are decorated in front of the corner house with sturdy chairs. Inside it is also sturdy and traditionally decorated. You're sitting in a quiet area with a car traffic, but it doesn't matter to you. The advantage for car drivers is, of course, that the parking spaces are opposite. We reserved 6:00, there's something going on. Reservation is highly recommended! For us (12 people), the prepared table is still spontaneously extended by a small table so that we do not sit too tight. Then we will be supplied with cards, food and drinks separated. Above is the sausage salad, there are cakes, ice cream, soups, salads, noodles, meat, mules and sausage. So really a great deal, for every tour. The dishes are available in sizes normal and slightly smaller. If you say nix, there is the normal part. This portion size is also sufficient for normal hunger. I was a little experimental tonight and ordered the Wiener Schnitzel with pommes and salad. As a drink a regional beer: Lindauer Hell; delicious. Half for 4 euros. The operation took everything fleeting and well-launated, very neat on a big note with a line list. First the salads came, from size okay. After a waiting period, the main courts came. Only one had to be asked (baked turkey carving). I guess the kitchen was a little slower or the service missed it while picking up. Two medium-sized Wiener Schnitzel with good charge Pommes. Majo and ketchup are available on additional plates in small portion bags. Okay, cost 14.60 euros, normal in Lindau. For the ladies there was Ladysteak, 150 g turkey breast for 14.50 euros. For others a grill plate, steaks of beef, pig, turkey for 16.50 euros. Everyone was happy, nobody complained about food. There was room for Dessert. Vanilla ice cream with rumpot fruit and cream. But still find something to try. The ice part comes in a heart-shaped shell, the rum fruits extra. To gradually spoons. Rum was not saved, strong mix for 7.60 euros. Taste. We didn't regret the visit, we were looking good. The prices are of course higher because of a small piece."

"Another entry into the list of Things that are Awesome about Austria, in a small town (a suburb of Bregenz, essentially that is part of the eastern Bodensee resort scene. We showed up without a reservation, and were seated in the pleasant garden, the tables far apart to ensure privacy in conversation and discreet movement by the staff, always a good sign in a better restaurant. We were offered a refreshing shot of watermelon juice at the start good, although more usual between dishes in a longer menu. We started with seafood: a superb combination of tuna, greens, and veal (unexpectedly good, and the preparation of the tuna put to shame many establishments supposedly specialising in seafood ; and an octopus based dish, which did not enthral Mr A, who objected to the combination with mussels. (Is this a central European thing? The closer you go to the Mediterranean, the simpler the serving of octopus: it has a delicate flavour, and does not require much done to it. If it had been served as in the other starter, it would be better, he said. For our mains we went for rib eye steaks with chimi churry (sic which we both found excellent: cooked to a perfect medium rare, with just the right amount of bite in the centre too often restaurants do a medium rare with the core of the meat nearly raw, which misses the point: a good medium rare locks the flavour in; if you slice it and too much seeps out, it's not done properly. Mr A declared the accompanying skin on potatoes were very good. I should have asked why the beef was imported from the US; Austria has amazing local beef (the Vorarlberg pastures are just round the corner! . We finished off with a delicate combination of chocolat,e pistachio, and cherries (for myself and an caloric explosion of ice cream and hot chocolate for Mr A. The Merlot recommended was just right for the meat, the espresso was decent, and the service was excellent. The prices are on the expensive side: our three course meal with only two glasses of wine and a soft drink cost as much as I'd expect the same meal with a whole bottle of good wine to cost. But, hey: you get what you pay for, and this was worth it. We'd go again, happily."
