Sono venuto qui su consiglio dei locali perché cercavo un pasto autentico. Questo è stato di gran lunga il miglior pasto che abbia mai avuto in Italia in tutte le volte in cui ho visitato l'Italia. Il cibo era fresco e abbondante. Le persone erano incantevoli e l'atmosfera era semplicemente perfetta. Grazie per la vostra ospitalità!

Probably the most authentic interpretation of traditional local in the area. We enjoyed the Escarole and beans soup and the polpette with ragout that were excellent, some antipasti were overdone like the fried green peppers served on very thick slices of bread. Good selection of wines, solid service and prices above average for the area. The decoration of the new room with the plastic roof is uninspiring at best.

Siamo passati da questo posto per un pranzo veloce e siamo riusciti a parcheggiare all'interno poiché eravamo in anticipo. Abbiamo ordinato la pasta con pomodoro e formaggio eccellente!, abbiamo anche preso le orecchiette e il vitello, tutto molto buono. Il personale qui era gentile e disponibile, il prezzo anche molto ragionevole. Più persone stavano entrando dopo le 14 (normale per l'estate), altamente consigliato!

Ho chiesto informazioni a un barista di fronte al conservatorio superiore di Avellino e mi ha raccomandato questo locale: fantastico! Un posto in cui ogni angolo racconta storia e tradizione, personale preparato e attento. E poi arriva il cibo. Sai, se dopo tanti anni sono ancora qui a fare il catering, c'è un motivo! Sapori intensi, autentici e genuini! Un bellissimo antipasto della casa, dove persino il prosciutto crudo è di altissima qualità! Non ho provato i primi piatti ma li ho visti passare e sembravano delle opere d'arte! Abbiamo ordinato la carne e siamo rimasti estasiati! Davvero deliziosa e succulenta!

Come è stato menzionato nella recensione precedente, questo ristorante è stato consigliato da Eda presso la cantina Feudi di San Gregorio. Quando siamo arrivati per il pranzo, il ristorante era pieno di vita e accogliente. I camerieri sono stati molto disponibili nel suggerire piatti che venivano preparati in cucina e ci hanno anche consigliato delle cose dal menu. Dal menu degli antipasti, abbiamo provato lo sformato di ricotta al forno, dal menu delle zuppe la scarola con fagioli tradizionale, e abbiamo assaggiato diversi piatti di pasta fusilli e ravioli. First of all, Savino is a great guy, friendly, welcoming, funny. Second, wow, can his mom COOK! Third, you'd be crazy to pass this place by if you are anywhere in the area--especially for lunch. The antipasti are all good. My favorite is the bruschetta made with roasted peppers in olive oil. With regard to pasta, the fusilli is the best around and the sauce is perfect. We had a ragù yesterday with pork, beef, sausage, meatballs, and wow, was it good! We had to force ourselves to stop eating (which is usually the case here . My hosts in the Naples area took me to dinner at this restaurant in the small town of Atripalda outside Avellino. The food was both plentiful and delicious. We started with a delicious set of antipasti a wonderful melanzane bruschetta, some mozzarella di bufala, prosciutto, salami, and pancetta. We then had 3 courses of soup: a wonderful chick pea soup, and an equally tasty soup made with porcini mushrooms. The third soup was a pasta e fagioli soup with something green in it (I think escarole). Yummy and plentiful. This was followed by two different types of pasta, also equally yummy. This restaurant came highly recommended by the staff person, Eda, at Feudi di San Gregorio. We arrived for dinner with an 8 PM reservation and found we were almost the only ones in the restaurant. They have a small parking lot right in front of the restaurant inside a low wall and we parked literally meters from the front door. The food was simple, well prepared using fresh ingredients and the selection of local wines was beyond reproach. Portion sizes were generous and predictably we didn't finish any of our courses and had to make apologies to our server when he picked up our plates, reassuring him that we did enjoy the food.
