"We enjoyed a lovely experience at the restaurant, highlighted by a beautiful large open fire. The food was delicious, and the young servers were incredibly helpful, assisting me in selecting dishes that accommodated my allergies. We had such a great lunch that we decided to return for dinner in the evening. The only downside was an older woman with shoulder-length blonde hair who came off as quite miserable and abrupt, often being rude when spoken to. If it weren’t for her, I would highly recommend this pub, as the chefs created wonderful dishes."

It has been some time since I was here for a lunchtime, but what a very warm welcome, very festive and the deep fried Brie OMG it was gorgeous. Will be booking for an evening meal very soon, hope the fire is still well ablaze, super cozy

The staff were exceptionally friendly, and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I requested extra custard to go with my dessert, and they certainly delivered! Everything was delicious, and as it was my first time dining alone in a pub, I felt very comfortable.

What a great discovery! We stopped by the Vernon Arms, and it really feels like a true pub experience. The staff were very friendly, and there was a good selection of beers. really beautiful traditional country pub. local atmosphere. very good service. all staff friendly and helpful, although there is a very busy Sunday afternoon. eating was very good quality, home produced and fresh, served hot on the table and good selection of beer. not rushed or unpressurized to leave the table. in any case recommend and would visit again.

Staying locally we pass this pub going to the beach, what an absolute gem. Plenty of outside seating, inside is a lovely atmosphere with very helpful staff, we arrived at 2.10pm looking for a dinner but the kitchen closed at 2pm..... but no problem they rustled us up two AMAZING beef dinners with all the trimmings, be aware they are shut on a Monday, highly recommend xx
