The location of restaurant is perfect. You can sit outside and enjoy if magnifique view of incredible Rhein! Very delicious dessert i've ate here. It was a wonderful hours was spent there

nice building, like a wine cellar, good food for the money try grilled salmon with rice delicious ! and caffee gourmand , rather French cuisine, though on the German bank of Rhine. friendly staff

Beautiful sunny day so we came here for lunch and sat outside. Despite being very busy outside and quiet inside, the waiting staff stayed inside, as a result service was pretty terrible, and we’d eaten most of our meal before being able to get water...or salt and pepper. Food was ok and fairly reasonable price

Pre booked dinner here but staff seemed disinterested in any bookings and we simply found a table. Positives, a simply superb location with views over the Rhine into France. Service timely and staff friendly. Negatives, food more snack bar than a la carte. Restaurant closed...early due to an event! Meal a tad rushed. Prices expensive for what we had. Would not return

My partner, daughter and I ventured across the Rhine from Strasbourg to Kehl in Germany to have dinner at the La Villa Schmidt. The food and ambiance equals anything in Strasbourg, if not even better. It has a very comprehensive menu far beyond the typical...sauerkraut, etc. typical in the Strasbourg tourist areas. The staff is polyglot and very friendly. We highly recommend it particularly on a nice day right on the river Rhine. Relatively inexpensive

Went here for dinner with friends and family. Had a lovely non alcoholic beer and I ordered the fillet steak medium rare. The food took about minutes to come out. The fillet was very tough, tasted like it was a frozen preportioned peice of...meat that was defrosted to order. My wife and friends ordered tart flambees which were ok but a little burnt. As we left I could see a drunk looking chef smoking a cigarette in the kitchen. The fact that the restaurant was empty tells me that the locals don’t go there. Wouldn’t recommend it

A truly memorable experience only spoiled by the temperature, for once, being a little too high late Afternoon but tempered by a cool breeze from the river Rhine I believe I cannot fairly make any criticism whatsoever about this venue except there are many...steps for the Mobility impaired visitor, although there are lifts available if prior notice is given.. The service could not be faulted, friendly smiling staff who could not find anything beyond their caring approach. Food also top class parking close to the building Myriam seemed to practise Your wish is my command and act accordingly

I went there with two other friends, wanting to have some drinks and then dinner. We were absolutely ignored by the staff from the minute we got there. We sat at a table that no one bother to clean after the previous occupants, and once...the waitress finally came to ask for our order, she got very angry that we asked for a menu to have an idea of what we wanted. She then very aggresively communicated to us that we could onlu have drinks, not dinner, as the service would only open in one hour. Once we were ready to order our drinks basic, nothing needing too much prep, she informed us that they wouldn't serve us drinks either and that basically we could get up and leave. I have visited the restaurant several years ago and was not much impressed but with some friends we went there for a Sunday brunch. The restaurant is located on the German border of the Rhine river just across the bridge from Strasbourg and offers a...picturesque view on both sides. It has a pretty gloomy inside hall and a light summer tent which on the day of our visit was not ventilated at all and has become very hot and suffocating because there were probably more than people inside.
