"We had made a reservation for 3pm and were presented with two menu options upon arrival at the restaurant. After deciding on the Sunday menu, we were informed that it had stopped being served at 3pm. It was disappointing that the option was still offered to us. The food was decent but not particularly satisfying, and we didn't feel it was worth the price. There are more affordable and higher-quality dining options available in the area."

service was not the best and the food was even worse I and my friend had to send our food back (burger,) as they were not cooked, terrible!

The food arrived quickly, but was not fresh and some dishes were not warm. The prices are quite high for what is essentially just decent pub fare.

Tried the new Sunday lunch/brunch today, both thoroughly enjoyed the variety of starters and sweets, we both chose turkey for main, was lovely turkey breast meat and selection of veg, very good value for money

for 3pm we were offered the choice of 2 menus when we arrived after the decision on Sunday menu, we went to report Sunday menu stopped at 15pm! why then offer. eat in order, but not substantially and did not find that reasonable.

The choices offered at the buffet were not satisfying, especially the dessert options which resembled breakfast items. The main dish on Sundays was slightly better, but overall not worth the price. It is disappointing as I have had good meals at this restaurant in the past, but I will not be returning.

Good food and service, we used a 50% off voucher which made the meal excellent value, not sure if that would be the case at full price. The new layout is more of a sports bar type area, less suited to the older generation such as us, but there was a quieter area towards the rear of the restaurant. Service was prompt and efficient.

"Family of 4 visiting for a meal. We were seated in the little side room to the left as you enter the pub. It was a little cold and I didn’t want to risk turning the heater on as there were no legs on it and it looked a bit dodgy. Anyway the food wasn’t great overall. My partner had the chicken tikka with rice and Nan and he said that was nice but not enough of it. He ordered cheesy chunky chips and they seemed nice too to be fair. My and my son decided to just have deserts and mine was the chick fudge cake with cherry flavour and ice cream. Was nice enough but would have expected a slightly bigger slice for £6. My youngest has the kids brownie and ice cream. He complained it was dry and horrible to so said let me try and was shocked it wasn’t just dry it tasted stale. Then my other son tried it and said the same. When asked if all was ok I said yes apart from that and they said they would tell the kitchen. It was taken off the bill to be fair but he wasn’t offered anything else. My eldest had sausage mash and gravy and said it was nice enough just lots of lumps in the mash. The youngest then decided to want food (given he has only ate the scoop of ice cream) so we order kids pizza. It’s looked amazing but was full of grease under the base so he ate half a price and spat it out on the plate (sorry) we didn’t bother mentioning this we paid and left. Shame really, the locals were chatty and friendly and the service was good apart from offering to rectify the stale brownie for the 10 year old. We wouldn’t return there is nicer around."
