wee restaurant, big heart. eat here last week, cook fresh Scottish food menu a little small, but what there is is perfectly cooked. the muddles were great, along with the brisket fixed price menu, with a supplement for a steak. wein reasonable price best restaurant in the environment.

We visited the wee restaurant as a treat, we found the food was lovely albeit a little overpriced for what we got. We were disappointed in the service by the front of house staff who we felt at times were unwelcoming, which came across as condescending verging on rude and felt rushed.

The heavy snowfall in Scotland this December took us all by surprise. There was lots of it. So much that it caused all sorts of of trouble: airports closed, trains delayed and people not being able to get to work or get on with their everyday lives. We had a table booked for our birthday dinner at The Wee Restaurant , in North Queensferry, and on a Sunday night we walked into an empty restaurant. The menu is essentially French but there is real focus on Scottish ingredients particularly locally sourced fish and seafood. The ever presents of the menu are, for first course, mussels cooked in a creamy sauce with bacon, and for main a succulent rib eye served with slowed cooked tomato (always deliciously sweet and simply outstanding) and varying types of potatoes. For me, while the mussels are delicious, the portion size is just too large to allow you to fully savour the main courses so I often have to give these a miss.

The Wee Restaurant is now our favourite local spot. Having come for our first time in November of last year, we instantly knew what to recommend to our friends and family as a Christmas prezzie. Back again with our voucher, we took full advantage of their cocktail list. I really enjoyed their Coconut Daiquiri and my partner the Negroni. The food was outstanding yet again and great value. We didn’t make it to desserts but will be back to sample them soon I’m sure. I dropped a hint to my partner that Valentine’s Day isn’t too far away… Thank you again to all The Wee Restaurnt Staff and Vikki, the owner, who introduced me to my new favourite cocktail.

during the hectic times of the Rfinburgh Festival there are not many possibilities for great eating in a relaxed atmosphere, but we had luck recommending the wine restaurant. in the quiet city north queensferry and cloged between some pub food facilities, they can simply miss the refined and exact kitchen. we all could not resist to choose different meal times and loved the opportunity to share and try each other, the terrain is elegant, but the piccalilli was fab. my main course of monkfish with cured lenses worked very well and the splash of saphir and fennel balanced out the cured sauce very good service was attentive, but also casual enough to relax us...more

fantastic as always. we were already 3 or 4 times in the wee restaurant. this weekend was a surprise trip to the birthday of my wife and it was as good as ever. I had smoked squid and saffron risotto and aged rib-eye steak and cheese, and my wife had aromatic blacks booze salad, spinat and some glitter and bramble clafoutis. all great. only rub was that we ordered a bottle of pomerol as a special tasty bite, but unfortunately the cheaper (and still very nice) bordeaux was brought on the weeping list and I could only notice it after its open door. the service was very friendly and the maitre d' was very competent, but the other waiting staff seemed a little chaotic. but hasn't gotten off a gr...

While called “The Wee Restaurant” it certainly delivers beyond expectation. A very cosy and warm restaurant with the most delicious food. Ethan Vicky were so attentive and seemed to really care about how our night went. It felt as if we were old friends that they were welcoming back. I cannot fault the food on any aspect, I would’ve paid triple for what I got. If you want a fantastic little treasure that will beat any preconceptions then this is the place.
