Popped in for a quick drink whilst passing through, super friendly bar man who made us feel really welcome. Will look to come back for food at some point . Beautiful old pub.

The food was excellent, there was a cozy log fire, and the prices were reasonable. Despite being very quiet, we couldn't understand why because the atmosphere was so delightful.

What a great place to stop and have a fantastic Sunday roast! Lovely atmosphere with Christmas decorations and a warm fire. Comfortable changing facilities for babies and great food! Lovely staff

Pleasant bar man. Food was very disappointing. The pub was not busy but we had to wait for 45 minutes for our food sandwiches. Bacon was cold and not fully cooked. Very expensive for what we had £9 for a bacon sandwich with barely a garnish

A lovely old pub. Helpful and friendly staff. We had basket meals and then a roast dinner the next visit. Great proper home cooked food. Couldn’t fault it. Lovely warm fire going too. We will be back on our next trip down to Devon. Thank you !

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The service was excellent, with hard-working staff and delicious food. This is the best pub in Devon - thank you to all the staff for making our night out wonderful. We can't wait to come back soon.

Walked to the pub from Colyton on the public footpath. Arrived and in need of a cool drink , ordered 2 ploughman lunches which were huge and filling . The best part of the lunch was the amazing coleslaw , made by Jayne who was so pleased when we said we really liked it and gave us a small pot which we enjoyed later, thanks Jayne it was simply delicious

We popped in for an impromptu lunch between stops on the Seaton tram. This is a no frills old school pub that is what it is. We found this really refreshing. We had a really warm welcome from the landlady who had done a fab job decorating the pub for Halloween. She was more than happy to show our children the various spooky exhihits which they loved! The food was well priced and good portions. All in all a really enjoyable visit and welcome change to be in a 'proper ' pub again!

My partner and I stopped by this restaurant on our way back to our cottage after taking our dog for a walk along the river across from the pub. They were only serving roast pork or beef for lunch, so we decided to order three beef lunches. As someone who is gluten-free, I was able to eat everything except for the Yorkshire Pudding, which I gave to my partner. The meals were all delicious and the bartender was very friendly and talkative. I would recommend this place if you are visiting Colyford or stopping at the Seaton tram stop, as it is conveniently located next door.
