"We ate quite early, and were the only diners, although lots of takeaway orders were being processed. There was a good choice on the menu, and we enjoyed our meal very much. The food was well cooked and presented, and the portion size good. The service was a bit offhand the waiter brought the bill (no offer of a dessert menu not sure if they even have one) and disappeared. We left the money and shouted goodbye, but got no response!"

Outstanding! First time and certainly won't be our last. The special 5 course on a Thursday and Sunday is unreal value for money and truly amazing. Wonderful!

The food at this restaurant is incredible, packed with flavor. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The prices for drinks are also very reasonable. I will definitely be returning soon.

Wow what can I say excellent food, outstanding service and top restaurant. We have been here lots of times and every time is always fantastic, I feel it’s Whitley bay hidden jem abs fantastic and please visit if coming to Whitley bay

Whitley Bay Tandoori is the top Indian restaurant in the area. Their food is always fantastic and beats out the competition. The atmosphere is peaceful and the staff is great. I suggest trying the kebab for two or the chicken chaat starter - both are delicious choices.

This restaurant is very clean and has a great menu choice. The food is always very good and the prices are reasonable. The staff are very amenable and will adapt to suit your taste. We had a lovely set meal for £30 and really enjoyed all the courses. Would recommend a visit if on your hols like us.

Excellent menu choices, all reasonably priced including drinks. Delicious freshly cooked food, well presented by welcoming staff. The restaurant is very well decorated but without the bells and whistles of chandeliers and glitz. I would highly recommend giving this restaurant a visit. There is a special takeaway menu Thursday and Sunday which we will be trying this weekend.

On New Year's Eve, we ordered takeout, but the paper bag containing all of our curries collapsed when I took it out of the plastic bag, causing all of the food to spill onto the kitchen floor. Thankfully, the restaurant was very accommodating and agreed to replace the order. The food, as always, was delicious. The service and attitude of the restaurant were top-notch. We give it five stars.
