"I am a return guest every year...whenever I am in Canton Schwyz. Great food. Friendly staff. Yesterday I had lunch there alone (normally I go with my family or business guests who'd like to experience a rural Swiss restaurant with great food, fair prices and be treated in a welcoming manner). The family who runs it is also helpful when making suggestions for activities. It was a busy time when I arrived and they still found a spot for me. It is best to phone and reserve ahead of time. There are always meat, fish, and some vegetarian dishes as well as rosti (a Swiss specialty with grated potatoes and very filling) in the winter months. There is a majestic view coming into Lauerz. Go on a sunny day and you will be in awe. The restaurant, which also has bright, clean, basic rooms at a very reasonable rate, is located just a 4min walk from the lake and a short drive from several local ski mountains, the Tierpark (lovely deer park in Goldau), the knife factory outlet shop and the chocolate factory outlet shop. It is best to go there by car. I am not sure how frequent the bus is there. There is a church across the road (the restaurant's windows are soundproof so you don't hear the bells unless you are outside the restaurant) and peaceful walking paths. Remember to take your camera!"

"we chose this restaurant as our lunch for a(n inclement) day on mt. rigi based on the positive reviews. we were very satisfied with the excellent quality of eating and warm welcome. the restaurant is about a minute walk from the railway station Arth-Goldau mt. rigi. it is worthwhile if you want a high-quality lunch! but really pleasant."

"Wir waren am Abend nach dem Besuch im Tierpark mit der Familie in diesem Restaurant. Schon lange wollte ich es probieren und ich muss sagen, das war ein positives Erlebnis.Das Personal ist nett und entspannt. Das Lokal eher dunkel und eng, aber ich fand es trotzdem gemütlich.Wir nahmen Maccheroni al pomodoro und zwei Pizze. Die Pasta war gut gekocht, nicht übertrieben al dente , aber auch nicht zu weich; die Tomatensauce ebenfalls auf ein gutes Mittelpunkt der Schärfe beziehungsweise der Säure. Beide Pizze waren reichlich belegt und die Zutaten waren qualitativ hoch; die Füllung schmeckte also hervorragend. Leider war das Teig für mein Geschmack und meine Gewohnheiten zu trocken und knusprig; das kann mit dem Elektro-Ofen passieren und ist, soviel ich weiss, unvermeidlich.Bei der unser nächsten Besuch werden wir etwas anders probieren (die Pasta della Mitologia hat mich sehr neugierig gemacht). Dieses Restaurant ist sehr versprechend."
