"The Wesley House is no longer a pub or a restaurant. It remains a 15th century Merchant 's House with lodging still happening upstairs from the former pub and restaurant. There was nothing exactly wrong with The Wesley House as a place of lodging but see if it 's for you: My bags were on the ground floor when I arrived. Nobody offered to bring them up the narrow stairway so I dragged them up myself. The rooms are small but functional. Somewhat amusingly, the second floor emergency fire exit was in/through my room with the door to that exit ominously labeled FINAL EXIT . Thankfully there was no need for anyone to run through my room on the night of my stay. Though The Wesley House had someone on site when I arrived, that person gave me a key for the front entry door for later, when nobody is on-site. One lets themselves into and out of the building, walking through the former bar area to get up to the rooms. There was nothing wrong with the breakfast that 's included in the price of lodging but I will note that it was my least favorite breakfast of the 7 I had at other places during my time in the Cotswolds. The Wesley House is fine (no more, no less) but if you want something a little more than fine I 'd keep searching."

"Really poor. Incorrectly labelled allergens causing a near miss to the pregnant member of our party, a good job she asked the serving staff to actually check ingredients. Veg chilli absolutely appalling. Really do not recommend. The only nice thing was that the waiting staff were at least polite. Vegetarian options: Veg options dire and limited. "Superb meal from start to finish. We had some substantial dietary requirements and Kate and her husband dealt with them as if they were no fuss at all- that is what I call excellent customer service. The taster menu is brilliant value for money and my family were delighted with every course. These hard working pair of lovely individuals deserve to succeed and prosper and they are a prime example why we should keep supporting local businesses. Keep up the excellent work Kate and husband, 5 North street is definitely a place I will be returning to! Dietary restrictions: They are extremely accommodating"

"We actually love this place and have been a few times. The staff are brilliant and very friendly and the food is great, however on our last visit my girlfriend had the chicken salad and the chicken was really dry. I had the lamb main with mint gravy and the mint was so strong it overpowered the taste of the dish unfortunately. We will however definitely be returning as we have been before and it was much nicer. Just a bit of a shame this time round but I’m sure on our next visit it will be sublime as usual. Great location for after a nice dog walk too (dog friendly)!"

"Food is of a consistently high quality, but today it wasn't hot when brought to us, one star lost for that. The amount of ice cream accompaniment on the desserts is a bit stingy for the price not even one scoop. Service is efficient when it comes, but too often there are long gaps when no one shows it took quite a while for us to get mint sauce and horseradish brought to us because no one was around to ask (should have been brought with the meals in the first place! . Room for improvement. Food is very good though. Recommended Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5"
