I didn't eat at the restaurant, just stayed overnight. The accommodations took care of all my needs. The power shower was great. There was an issue with the plug, but it's summer, so it wasn't a big deal. The room had a large TV, complimentary tea, and coffee, although there was no coffee available. Food was ok, waited about 45 mins and only a couple of other customers in. Wouldn 't want to go when it 's busy. Pub could do with a tidy up, looks quite run down and dated. Only 1 person behind the bar and serving food so we ordered from the bar and got our own drinks. Felt quite grubby . Menus were covered in beer and sticky. Wouldn 't have hurt to wipe them down instead of apologising for them being thrown on the bar getting covered in beer!

First time in the Woodend (Woodhouse Inn) for a really long time due to previous management so that's how long. So a walk from Shireoaks with the dogs that were made extremely welcome and looked after with water bowl on arrival. We had really good beer and wine and the food was very good. A Mediterranean pasta dish and the fish pie. Both meals were delicious and HOMEMADE. Fantastic staff, lovely locals and great food, couldn't wish for more. Will definitely be back soon.

As for parking, there are spaces available at the front and side of the pub, but it can be a bit challenging to find a spot during busy times. The pub is also kid-friendly, with a large beer garden on the side that is perfect for enjoying the warmer months. For those with mobility needs, there is a ramp leading up to the front door, making it wheelchair accessible. Prices range from £10 to £20 per person. Some recommended dishes include the Hunter's Twist, Mixed Grill, Steak and Ale Pie, Gammon with Egg, and the delightful Apple Crumble with Custard. Overall, there is plenty of free parking available.
