"First time I’ve venture to the Yorkshire grey, karaoke was absolutely phenomenal and the atmosphere itself is amazing, full of lively, lovely people just enjoying a great night out, the drinks are cheap and great quality, exterior smoking area and a pool table for any fanatics such as myself, thoroughly enjoyed my night from start to end, I didn’t end up leaving till the bar closed I enjoyed myself that much, well done craft union for this new bar manager she is always on the ball and exception at her job, all the bar staff are friendly and full of conversation, highly recommended"

Have always loved this pub but just called in with my wife for a glass of rose' wine. The Zifandel Rose is awful. Please take note as this could put us off.

Came to watch football with a few drinks. Staff are really friendly. Steph served me and she was really friendly and was approachable. She was able to go out Football on for us which made our experience a lot better!

They say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, and this steak was cooked perfectly. I highly recommend dining here. The chef even came to speak with us, and was very pleasant. A visit here is definitely recommended. Visualizza piatti

Went out to watch the football yesterday, great atmosphere, great pints, great staff! Nothing was too much for Emma who works there, she went above and beyond to make our night perfect! Would definitely recommend if you are looking to watch sport in town!

Popped into the Grey for lunch with my work colleagues, ordered a meatball sub and upgraded to a wine and waffle fries great suggestion by the bar staff. All our meals came out very quickly, we all enjoyed it and the atmosphere was lovely. Definitely coming again.

The venue is great with amazing staff, especially Steph. I came to watch football and she was very approachable and willing to answer any questions. They had music playing along with the football commentary during the game. The drinks are inexpensive and overall it's a fantastic place to gather with friends or family for any occasion. Avoid this pub at all costs. The management is corrupt and do not pay their staff fairly. I would give 0 stars if possible. The turnover of managers is constant and the pub is poorly run. They do not serve cask ales despite having them in the cellar. Hazardous chemicals are left in plain view on high shelves. Prices for spirits and mixers are inflated. A night at the Yorkshire Grey is bound to be disappointing.

Came in with some friends for some drinks and a bite to eat. Staff were absolutely fantastic, quick service and very attentive. Drinks were spot on, food was amazing! One of our party is gluten free so when we were asking about possibilities for food they wanted a chicken tikka, staff advised that would be possible just without the bread and by having it with rice instead of chips.. couldn’t be happier with this as we’ve had several issues at other places when trying to order for her so over the moon with staff. We’ll definitely return

"The welcome we received was pleasant, although not very personal, and our details were not checked, which was surprising considering how difficult it was to secure a reservation. The restaurant is not licensed, so guests are welcome to bring their own drinks. My husband and I brought two bottles of champagne, but we were not offered an ice bucket and were given standard wine glasses instead of flutes. The food was served promptly, starting with an amuse bouche of butternut squash veloute with a creamy accompaniment served in egg boxes. The chef explained the dish himself, and it was delicious. The second course, an aged rice dish reminiscent of a soupy risotto flavored with parmesan and espresso, was my least favorite. I found it poorly presented and the coffee flavor didn't come through well. The third course, a beautifully cooked lamb cutlet finished on a barbecue outside, was accompanied by flavorful lentils. However, the broccoli that came with it was plain and could have used some additional flavor. The dish was not explained to us. The fourth dish, which I initially thought was eel, turned out to be smoked eel and was served with beetroot. This was one of my favorite dishes of the night. We were served two desserts: a warm chocolate foam with orange sorbet and a deconstructed rhubarb custard with pink meringue pieces, both of which were delicious. The bill was not presented to us, so we followed the lead of other guests who left cash on the table as they left. My husband had a nice chat with the chef, and I joined in after a visit to the restroom. The chef was very knowledgeable and skilled with flavors. Overall, I was a bit disappointed by the lack of personality in presenting and explaining each dish. The experience felt somewhat impersonal and lacked interest. I believe guest interaction is crucial, so my tip would be for the restaurant to take the time to engage with guests, even if it means spending less time in the kitchen. I did not give a perfect score due to the presentation and slightly underwhelming flavors in some dishes. I believe that in fine dining, every element of the dish should be bursting with flavor. Despite this, we had an enjoyable evening and would return if we are able to secure a reservation."
