"I'm almost a permanent guest in the Schandgeige. Several times a year we can visit this medieval atmosphere. Almost a pity that you can pay in such a restaurant with Euro or EC card, and not with Silverlings; As already mentioned, the knight's dinner is quite cheap and luxuriant with the 35 euros per person. Anyone who wants to have music pays another 200 euros (all stand at the end of 2010, which however are distributed among the participants of the Knight's Dinner. So it does not pay any person 200 euros, but all together once this amount. This is an amusing and entertaining musical accompaniment on mostly even historical instruments. We still have a tip for all those who have a birthday: if the hostman informs about his birthday, there is a surprise;"

I loved this place. most of the staff spoke English and they had LOTS of flavors of Mead (pronounced Met in German) It was lovely but VERY busy VERY VERY...

who wants to experience a small time trip to the Middle Ages should definitely visit the Gasthaus Zur Schandgeige. Decoration, music, food and drinks are fully matched. The food (Kalbshaxe, pork roast, herb salad, ... really tastes excellent. We also had a really successful evening. Everyone liked it. Just recommended!

The Schandgeige used to be the first choice restaurant when it went to party or just a cozy evening with friends. But the price level as well as availability (three times in a row no carvings, so also various signs of wear of the situation has brought me to visit the candied people more and more rarely. We had written a knight's meal in the Schandgeige some time ago. The food sequence had been communicated to us for a long time, so there were only a few surprises.
