I loved this place. most of the staff spoke English and they had LOTS of flavors of Mead (pronounced Met in German) It was lovely but VERY busy VERY VERY...

I just can recommend this restaurant because of the unique atmosphere (like in a medieval tavern), the very nice and funny service, the great dishes and the very tasty Kaiserschmarrn!

The Schandgeige used to be the first choice restaurant when it went to party or just a cozy evening with friends. But the price level as well as availability (three times in a row no carvings, so also various signs of wear of the situation has brought me to visit the candied people more and more rarely. The Schandgeige has been a classic on my way list for years. There are good mead, whisky and the food is good. Whether crust roast, ribs or flame bread tastes everything. We had written a knight's meal in the Schandgeige some time ago. The food sequence had been communicated to us for a long time, so there were only a few surprises. The veterinarian who accompanied us could choose suitable alternatives to meat dishes. In addition, a barde was present that created good mood and conversation with occasional song play.
