"The food may be good, but this was not a pleasant experience. My husband and I booked a table at this restaurant for his birthday it was recommended by a local. Because we were visiting the city, we were admittedly not dressed fancy. We also arrived just as they were opening. The blind was still down, but the waitress came and put it up. She didn’t however invite us to enter. We waited a few more moments and entered, gave our name and were directed to a table. We had the impression we weren’t very welcome, and this even though I made the effort to speak Castilian. We weren’t hungry enough to order starters, and this didn’t seem to go down well. We ordered mains but we were not informed that they didn’t come with any vegetables or potatoes or anything. We were given an extra sheet for the menu, but we were told these things (no price) were to snack. If the owner (who took our order) had taken the time to communicate to us that their mains didn’t come with anything, we probably would have ordered sides! Ironically, the fact that we weren’t ordering much didn’t seem to please them, but this was because they jumped to conclusions and didn’t take the time to explain things to us…! My husband ordered wine by the glass. There was only one choice. When it was served, the waiter didn’t show him the bottle (even if he didn’t have the choice, he still might have wanted to see the bottle), nor let him taste before serving the whole glass. The mains arrived with no sides, to our shock, and we ate them. They were very good. We each had a bread roll, and once we were finished with the fish and seafood, we ate the bread and mopped up the sauce. We were never asked if we were enjoying our food. Suddenly, the waitress came over and cleared our plates, not asking if we were finished and giving the distinct sense that they wanted us out of there. She came back and cleared away the bread rolls (unfinished), when I was literally still chewing a piece in my mouth. We felt this was rude and at this point decided we didn’t want dessert there (we would probably have ordered some otherwise). The general attitude, right until the payment of the bill, was snobby. We have been to quite a few high end restaurants, including Michelin starred, and have always been happy in these places to pay more for good food and excellent service. Here we felt the service was rude and haughty, and that we were judged because we look young (this happens a lot to both of us, and I heard the owner refer to me as “la señorita” when I am 34 and married), weren’t dressed up and didn’t order starters. We would not recommend this place at all!"

"One of the best places I've been to for Italian style pizza. They have two kinds of pizza; On the one hand, the Roman, which is crunchy and with a spongy dough, and on the other, the Napoletana, which is soft, without structure, with a very thin dough in the middle and with swollen edges. In our case, to try both types we ordered 3 Napoletanas and 1 Roman. Of the Napoletanas, the Idiazabal, the Magnifica and the one of the month; the first one was undoubtedly the best, a 10. The other two were delicious but for example in the magnificent Burrata it had too much presence and took away from other ingredients. Despite this, in all 3, the flavor, the texture and above all, the dough, spectacular. La Trentina was the one we chose from the Roman options. The quality ingredients and very rich (they have an incredible flavor, especially the tomato and the Speck); In addition, the dough is also very good, on point and super crunchy. Between the two styles I prefer the Napoletano; the mix of ingredients with that dough is amazing. In any case, I also recommend trying some Roman, it's worth it. For dessert there were only two options. The chocolate cake was rich but it seemed very average to me; a lot of chocolate flavor and little else. However, the Tiramisu (very creamy) essential if you like this dessert; Of the best I've ever had. The place is cozy but the tables are close together. The staff very friendly and attentive; At first it took us a long time to serve (about 30 minutes) but then the pizzas came out quickly. I don't give it 5 stars since I missed some more dessert and especially some typical Italian starter option before the pizzas. Likewise, if you are only interested in pizza, it is one of the best places in Bilbao to eat it.
