"We celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary here and everything about our visit was fantastic from start to finish. My first conversation on the phone was with Amy who was so helpful, our party was for 18 people so I wasn’t sure the kitchen or venue could cater for us all but from the very beginning Amy reassured me it was absolutely possible because they have a separate dinning room “The Parlour room” they could fit us all in. I was able to decorate the room as I wished and I was even sent pictures of the tables when I had questions about the size of them etc. On the day we were served by Albert and 3 other really friendly, smiley staff who all gave fantastic service. Albert was wonderful on the day making sure we all had drinks at all times and organising the staff when he needed to. Then we move onto the food….it was amazing. It all came out at the same time, served by all the staff, it was all hot and cooked perfectly. The presentation of the food is so good and really tasty. We were all really happy with our food. Hats off to the chef it must have been a real challenge getting everything out at such a high standard all at once! They even sent my parents desserts out with a Happy Anniversary message on their plates. When it was time to clear our plates this was done by all the staff, all at once which really helped to speed up the clear up! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and especially if you are celebrating a special occasion with family or friends. Thank you to everyone working that day you were all fantastic and all helped to make my parents meal very special."

"Food was terrible stone cold and inedible they agreed to do again and said it would b ten minutes, 2 minutes later the food came out one still stone cold the second with so much steam coming off you couldn’t touch or eat it without it scolding you! I went to the bar to complain and the First Lady was very polite and the alleged manager came over looking at me with her mouth open the whole time telling me it was freshly cooked! I said obvs that’s not the case as the steam was bellowing off one plate and the second one was stone cold again! I said obviously it wasn’t just cooked again from scratch in 4 minutes and like a petulant child she just kept saying, well it was! I just said can I have a refund plz so I can leave and she did eventually. Then her boss came over despite the last woman telling me she was the most senior person there saying I’m not welcome back for abusing the last woman! I didn’t I literally just said at the I end I just want to f-Ing leave and apparently that was abusing the staff despite the fact she was blatantly lying and calling me a liar! I told the actual manager what happened and she said I don’t care I’m supporting my staff! I said so it doesn’t matter what happened then and she said no, I said ok don’t worry ill leave and she kept having a go at me, I said I’m already going why are you still hurling abuse at me and she said, oh you just want to have the last word! Ironic! The food was stone cold and then microwaved and I did ask politely right up until the point where they wanted me to take a lie detector test! They clearly couldn’t cook the meals from scratch in 4 minutes and I even said I’ve seen the Wetherspoons documentary the food is cooked hours ago then left in a tray! They lied, bullied me then when I questioned it I got told I’m not welcome simply for saying I just want to f-ing leave and they used that like I was the dishonest party! They lied and treated me terribly and the food was inedible! Never been treated so badly in my life and as an extra has anyone ever known such a weak Werherspoons barring? I saw some bloke smash a glass over someone’s head in the same pub a couple years ago and no one said a word!! Shameful!"

"This restaurant is a literal dive, we had four meals, a sea bass which was like cardboard, overcooked very small and tasteless, combined with fried that were inedible this meal atrocious. We also had vegan ragù, this was a lentil disaster, the pasta resembled something that I can only describe as mash with a ‘sauce’ that had no identity at all, you couldn’t even pick out a single flavour. Yet another, disappointment from Zizzi. None the less at least we played it safe with a pizza, Right? Wrong. The sticky pig pizza was quite literally fit for pigs, the base was burnt and the pork toppings were rancid. The highlight of the mains was the spaghetti bolognese which actually had flavour and was edible, could I have made something a million times better at home for less, without a shadow of a doubt. But at least this was edible, right? I will however say that the starters were quite nice with the bruschetta not quite resembling anything Italian but was still nice and the caprese salad was also good. This was the highlight of our meal by far. The drinks were disgusting with the cocktails being more like shocktails, if there was even a single millilitre of rum in the pineapple cooler I would be stunned, the raspberry mojito had a bit of a kick but didn’t really have much in the way of a desire to consume. The general hygiene of the restaurant was poor with flies swarming the restaurant not a fly zapper in sight, the waitress leaning over our meals to grate Parmesan cheese with added hair to our spaghetti bolognese, the chefs with their chunic half open and the kitchen looking generally grubby. The aesthetic of the restaurant more resembled a Caribbean than an Italian, the chairs were extremely uncomfortable and the booths were comparable to sitting on a pallet. Overall I would strongly recommend that you avoid this restaurant with a wide birth. A McDonald’s would have been a better choice than this muck."
