"We decided to eat here based on Tripadvisor reviews and because we really enjoy Moroccan food after visiting the country several times over the years. We ordered a Moroccan salad, veggie couscous, and veggie tajine. I expected a couscous-based cold salad with finely chopped tomatoes, onions, a couple of olives, and parsley on top. Instead, it was a lettuce-based salad with some tomatoes, grated carrots, and some chunks of goat cheese. It tasted fine but it was not at all a Moroccan salad. The veggie couscous and tagine looked authentic, but definitely lacked taste. There were few spices in the recipe, especially in the couscous, causing both dishes to taste bland. We added some harissa to spice it up. Then it was better although the tajine was a bit watery. The service was very friendly and the interior of this little restaurant was wonderful with colorful walls and Arabic music quietly playing in the background – exactly our kind of place. We concluded that this restaurant – like so many others – stray too far from original national cuisine in an effort to overadapt to local tastes. That’s too bad. But, it could be that ethnic restaurants like these must do so in order to survive when most customers are locals. We enjoyed our dining experience here, but we must also say that it didn’t meet our expectations."
