"My husband and I had a wonderful lunch at the Priory Pub Kitchen today, and we wanted to express our gratitude to all the staff, from those at the front to the kitchen team, especially our server, Shannon. Our experience was delightful and has turned us into new fans of the restaurant. Thank you once again from table 23!"

"Well what a little gem of a coffee shop. The staff were lovely and the shop itself was super comfy, beautifully decorated with clean facilities. On the downside there is a small step to enter the shop so not wheelchair friendly but plenty of room once inside. A MASSIVE plus is that all proceeds from the shop go to the Loros Hospice charity. What more could you ask for!! Service: Dine in"

"Hosted a baby shower here on a Sunday for my best friend. Jeanette was very accomodating and friendly, nothing was a problem. They're was plenty of food and great choices, the sausage rolls were to die for and lovely thick ham in the sandwiches. Everyone commented on the lemon drizzle cake and brownies and there was plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate to go around. Jeanette also providing some lovely decorations and balloons. Thanks for a lovely afternoon!"

"Starting with Gemma and the wonderful team at the White Horse Inn in Seagrave, we cannot express how amazing they were for our special day. Our reception in the new extension was absolutely perfect, exceeding our expectations. The attention to detail was evident, making our day truly unique. The food was exceptional, as always, and the staff were friendly, professional, and accommodating. We highly recommend the White Horse Inn Seagrave for any event, especially for those looking for a truly special venue for their big day. Thank you so much, Saffron and Aaran!"

"On my travels I thought I’d try this place as I’ve passed it many times and was on my route. Unfortunately they didn’t take phone orders, but understandable in this trade I guess for P&L margins for dummy orders and so on, but would have really helped me out on the day as time was pressed…and I was hungry. Also it’s cash only, which in today’s electronic transactional world is odd and I would guess catches a few people out, but that’s the businesses prerogative. Outside 1st impressions, not great to be fair. The outside dining area is right next to the car park and very loud if you’re trying to have a relaxing meal. Maybe quieter later in the day. The window boxes outside have had little love recently which hosted a variety of dead or dying plant life. There was also lots of cobwebs etc on the main entrance. Also, the designated assembly point, in case of a fire or evacuation, was interesting very close to the road and petrol station. I think the rear car park would be a safer option, but this may not be the choice of the cafe and be pre designated by the H&S team. Inside, much better. Clean and seemingly comfortable with a few patrons enjoying their meals. Guy serving was smiling and friendly. I think there was a review previously that said something along the lines of this was a transport cafe. Tbf, it is without trying to take anything away from its ambitions. The website (Which is very good) I think sells it as something else and from the reviews does some very good Sicilian courses, but the main trade here is breakfasts I’d suggest, which I’m guessing tells its own story. The cobs we had were served quickly and were of good quality, so no grumbles there. As with all dining experiences, the first bite is in the presentation, unfortunately if passing trade think the outside isn’t great there’re unlikely to be drawn in next time around. Maybe back one day."

"We used to come here quite often for breakfast pre Covid and decided to come again as it had always been nice. We’d booked a table beforehand but it took a while for anyone to notice us to show us to our table even though there was only one person being served at the till and we’d clearly been seen by other staff. Anyway while seated it took a while for anyone to take our drinks order, surprised they didn’t take this when we sat down. On first glance at the menu was how expensive it was now, £4.25 for a large cappuccino I think is madness you wouldn’t even pay that for a Starbucks and it was nearly £3 for a single espresso. I wouldn’t have minded so much if the coffee was really good, in fact it tasted like hot milk. Obviously they have limited staff as we’re all dealing in troubling times so they don’t have as much on the menu for breakfast they have a full english, vegetarian breakfast and eggy bread. I asked if I could have eggs on toast instead but due to the limited staff they couldn’t even though I thought this would be quicker?! The food took quite a while and it was ok, like the meat and eggs are fresh which I think is why we go back there even though the fruit salad the eggy bread was served with was brown, but the service is odd and long and the prices are crazy. £10.95 for eggy bread and £11.95 for a full English? I don’t really understand them and I felt quite robbed to be honest, like I never normally look at prices and understandably were going through a pandemic but this isn’t an excuse to cash in on it, it’s a good job I wasn’t vegan and wanted alternative milk otherwise I’d have had to pay £1 more so my coffee would have been £5.25 how is that right?! For that reason I don’t think I’ll be back unfortunately."

"We've driven past the Old Hare and Hounds hundreds of times but never been in. Fancied a steak on Thursday and saw they were doing a steak night so decided to give it a try. We both really enjoyed our meals the steaks were cooked to perfection and accompanied by mushrooms, tomatoes, onion rings, peas and chips. All delicious! Great value and everyone was really friendly. So pleased we went!"

"I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The lunch menu had limited choices and the prices were high considering the quality and portion sizes for my three young children. The adult meal I ordered, which consisted of tasteless soup and a cheese sandwich on stale white bread with a small amount of lettuce, cost £11, which I found outrageous. The total bill came to £60.50, and when I complained to the staff about the disappointing meals, I was only offered a £5 discount, the price of the soup. The manageress did not seem interested in addressing my concerns. I usually don't complain when dining out, but in this case, I felt that the lunch options and prices at this otherwise beautiful hotel were a letdown."

"We came here to eat on Sunday the 3rd we were lucky to get a table as we just walked in off the street the food was great the service was great this is a lovely traditional pub. The only let down in my eyes was the small chubby lady behind the bar with glasses was very rude in greeting us in fact the only time I saw her smile was when she was scoffing crisps behind the bar other than that this is an excellent pub and the food was gorgeous and I will return as I don't really think it's fair to judge the place on one persons attitude"

"Visited early doors, in fact there were no other customers in when we arrived. The older chap was at the counter when we arrived and we said hello to him as we came in, and confirmed our booking. The younger waiter joined him and we all said hello to him, a greeting which went unanswered. He showed us to our table without speaking to us and came back with the menus before we 'd even got our coats off. The tone for the evening was set then. He took our drinks order, answering impatiently when we asked what beer they had on. When he came to take our food order he glowered at us throughout and interrupted when we were ordering. Couldn 't bring himself to say please or thank you at all. Conversely, he was charm itself with a table of three women who had by now come into the restaurant, laughing away. I 'm not sure what his issue with us was the only thing I can think of was that he took exception to our wearing masks when we entered the place (we took them off when we sat down of course): the older waiter also seemed out of sorts, but he can be moody anyway. After he served the popadoms, which were damp but warm, as if they 'd been microwaved from frozen, the younger waiter seemed to twig that we weren 't happy with his attitude he may even have heard us say he wouldn 't be getting a tip. In any case, he managed to squeeze out a thank you . Too late, by then the evening was spoiled for us. Main course was served, OK but nothing spectacular we finished our drinks and went. I 've been coming to the Red Rose for years with family and friends and never had service like this. I won 't be coming back."

"We walked in to have a coffee this morning, and were met by very unfriendly staff, who seemed interested in something else, but certainly not serving customers. One gentlemen sitting at a table who had ordered food, asked for his table to be cleaned before his food came, and was met with a stern glare from the staff!? We walked back out after 5 mins of the disinterested staff and unhappy atmosphere, and immediately went a few doors down to Od'thorpes, which was lovely and relaxed by comparison. I shall not be troubling the team at Pretzels again any time soon."

"Have been going to pParty Pieces in Loughborough for quite a few years, the standard of food is very high, the best , in my opinion, in town. A friendly and welcoming atmosphere and Steve and Sally front of house. A simple menu with tasty fillers, but for the best expoerience, it has to be the cakes. I have added inches from the taste testing of the complete range, I have notable favourites, but to those that have never been, put it on your bucket list, you'll not be disappointed."

"Lunchtime visit after reading very good reviews. Sunny day and was busy but not without a table or two to chose from. The first thing I noticed was the dull, just rinsed teapot which would have looked better had it come out of a hot dishwasher. We turned the saucers over and one was chipped and one was not washed at all with I suspect dunked ginger biscuit over quite a bit of it. All teacups and saucers felt gritty as you would get from a dishwasher that lacks salt/ rinse aid.Service was cheerful, generous (offering more, extra, with no charge) and prices here are everyday affordable but handing back the dirty crockery as we received it, clean ones were brought but no appology at all, just a there you are as they were placed on the table. I think that an Oh dear, somethings gone wrong there, I am sorry or something similar, is what I expected. All food and drinks were hot, tasty and very good.Often use another cafe in the town centre and rarely find anything less than satisfactory. So will probably give Cino`s another try soon."

"Sutalia in Loughborough offers an inviting ambiance perfect for a family celebration, and my recent visit for a birthday meal with my wife and kids certainly had its highlights. Yearning for an authentic Italian experience, we were greeted with impeccable service from start to finish. Opting for a variety of dishes, we sampled the mozzarella sticks, olives, and creamy mushrooms to start. While the starters were enjoyable, the mozzarella sticks tasted somewhat standard, possibly pre-made and frozen. However, the crab tagliatelle stole the show with its rich and flavorful taste, leaving a lasting impression. Regrettably, the pizzas didn't quite meet our expectations. They lacked the authenticity of a stone-baked crust, instead resembling pre-made bases, and while the toppings were satisfactory, they failed to excite our taste buds. Despite this, the overall dining experience was elevated by the attentive hospitality and cozy ambiance reminiscent of a quaint café. Our bill, totaling £59 with soft drinks, felt reasonable given the exceptional service received. In conclusion, Sutalia in Loughborough may not have delivered a perfect culinary experience, but its warm atmosphere and top-notch service certainly make it a worthwhile dining destination for those seeking a cozy Italian meal."

"Four of us visited for a sunday lunch. Was a very nice and quiet place. Friendly staff on arrival. Great selection of drinks too. Sunday lunch menu was limited but by no means a let down. This in fact made the food better as it was clearly all fresh. Soup starters were nice and clearly home made. Then the main event. I had the jolly roast which was amazing. Lots of meat and cooked to perfection! Everyone enjoyed their meals. My wife had a vegetarian option which she enjoyed and the pie was very nice by all accounts. Puddings were great too. The cheesecake is highly recommended! Overall a great meal in a lovely place we will be returning! Also they were very accommodating with children which is a big bonus!!!"

"On the strength of a trip advisor Email received this morning my wife and I decided to brighten up a miserable day by taking afternoon tea.The place is very tastefully decorated and fitted out with a small retail section and a quality Deli section.Local produce featured prominently. The staff were very attentive and friendly obviously enjoying their work.Although not a restaurant as such a good range of café/tea room meals were available. The scones were the best I have had in Leicestershire !! There is a good selection of greeting cards with excellent graphics and obviously carefully scourced. The same applies to the small range of gifts which were reasonably priced.A little Gem and a valuable enterprise which is obviously doing well.Power to your Elbow !!!"

"As a local Bankie I have visited this establishment on various occasions during a shopping trip to Clydebank (more for groceries) and whilst the food is good, although fairly basic, the standard of customer service leaves much to be desired in terms of any friendly...customer interaction. My visit today however reached a low point in abject rudeness from the young(ish) woman who was on the order desk...and it seems was the self appointed sentinel of the table allocation. The sign as you enter requests that you wait to be allocated to a table.....but the reality is that there is very rarely anyone tasked to do this job as they always seem to be understaffed. On this occasion I moved to a table as there were plenty of free tables and in the past have in any event been asked which one I preferred. The reaction from the guardian of the table was to shout out for me to wait until you are seated and certainly not in any conciliatory or friendly manner. Obviously she was having a bad day but in these days when retail leisure business need as much business as they can get this is not the way to foster customer loyalty. A fact noticed by other customers waiting to place their order. Needless to say I went elsewhere."

"This restaurant is up along with the likes of the Waldorff Hotel, It is a college for students starting their careers in hospitality. The service is excellent and the food magnificent. Occassionally there is a guest chef who spends a couple of days with the students and they guide the students to create their Menu for service to customers of a Thursday evening. If like me you want to try amazing food for a fraction of the cost, or you just want to support the next generation of hospitality staff and Chefs, then this is the place to go! Last night was a 6 course Menu from Chef Charlie Hodgson for £25.00 and it was stunning. Don't in anyway think that because the students are learning there will be any mistakes because the first class Lecturers are there to make sure there are none! You will not regret a visit and I go every week in term time have tried many dishes, and have never had a bad meal. These students are trained so highly they win many National competitions and so have the Lecturers. Well done Loughborough College for the high standards and excellent skills and Lecturers this center/restaurant provides."

"I visited the cafe on Sunday 9th February for the first time, I actually live in Syston and I had it recommended by a friend who uses it often and recommended it to us. I was pleasantly surprised as it was nice, the food was good but I was a little perturbed at the rude attitude of the lady who was behind the counter who I gave my order to, she just was not interested in my order, was very curt to me and called someone else to take it, Another lady came and looked after us who was lovely and who seemed to be doing everything. The food was lovely and we will certainly visit again but I would like better service initially please."
