"We were in the area looking for a good time and decided to try this restaurant we found on Google Maps for a quick bite to eat. They serve delicious handmade pizzas, freshly made for around £14. They have recently started offering street food dishes, such as different flavors of chicken kebabs with couscous and coleslaw. We really enjoyed our meal and feel that this place offers great value for money. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and there is a spacious outdoor seating area and parking available. Overall, a fantastic pub with delicious food."

"I've had coffee here only infrequently. It is once every two months over the last year. I have always had a large Americano and a cake. Without exception the coffee has been excellent. It is a good strength without any bitterness or sourness. Congratulations to the batista. The staff are consistently pleasant. The cakes are fresh and tasty. If only my local café could match this."

"I have been ordering food with them from last 4 years. friendly staff until one staff got rude over the phone for me asking him to change toppings .. there has been number of times where they have not followed instructions where you ask them to put desired topping but they will end up forgetting it and since you have waited for almost and hour extremely hungry you tend to eat and ignore.. many times i have witnessed pizza was burned underneath and went back to get it changed once guy gave me someone else onion ring instead of potato wages and i had to go all the way back to store.. well this time, i so tired and wanted to order pizza guy over the phone Sajan didn't sound pleasant and was patience told him to change two toppings and he kept saying tell me what topping you want ... but didn't want to listen to what i wanted to remove as i had bad experiences on number of occasions where they still ending up putting what i asked to remove.. i asked him many times to listen but he insisted to just tell him what topping i want that put me off and i told him let me come to speak to you in store and asked him his name he completely ignore my question and hanged the phone aggressively. i went to restaurant this guy did't want accept that he gave me bad customer service and he got joined with his colleague Arora who did't sound interested to listen to my complaint instead wanted to get rid of my by taking my order ..did't listen to me and kept telling me that he knows what i am trying to say.. eventually he told me lets take order and i will deliver as other guy didn't want to deliver anything below £13 now order came up to £10 and now they didn't want to deliver for that price.... this is really bad customer service where guy doen't listen to you when you come to store they team up to protect their fault and not giving customer appreciation for coming in and making complaint for what they can improve their customer service.. so they did't want to deliver and i was not happy so i asked both of their names and asked if i can see manager guy Arora did't seem to know where is manager or if they have manager... told me to go and come back as they are very busy... i had to return home hungry without any food.. not going back to them and will stop my family friend to stop spending money on this shop where customers are not cared at all.. so bad so bad so bad.. really disappointed.."

They have spacious seatings and a lot of specialty vendors representing an array of asian cuisines. There are over 24 vendors selling different asian cuisines including Korean, Thai, Balinese, Singaporean, Filipino, Indian and many more. Honestly you are spoilt for choice! When we were there, we had the following Royal China Dimsums The three meat plate (duck, char siu, cripsy pork belly) from Four Seasons Fried Chicken Noodles Sushi Mango Crepe Cakes Churros Everything was just superb. The flavours were there and the fact that you can try so many dishes from different countries under one roof is just mind blowing to me. During my visit, I opted for a classic fish and chips dish, although they also offer more exotic options like swordfish and Spaghetti Vongole. The meal was a delight; freshly hand-cut chips paired perfectly with cod in a light, crispy batter. The cod was cooked to perfection and served with a side of what seemed to be homemade mayonnaise. Surprisingly, even the most exotic specials were priced within a £10 budget, and my meal, along with a soda, fell under this range. "I’ve always experienced great customer service and friendly staff here but have found that the fries are not always consistent. My peanut butter milkshake was lovely but my fries were soggy and they shouldn’t be especially for the price that they charge. They should be crisp from the peanut oil and so it was a let down. I’ve eaten in other branches and have never had this problem before. I paid just over £8 for two items which is my choice but I expect perfection each time especially when it’s a well known chain as this."

"This cafe is fantastic in every aspect. I visit regularly and have a few criteria that I use to judge cafes: the quality of sausages, the quality of coffee, and whether they can make eggs with runny yolks. The sausages here are of excellent quality for a cafe, the coffee is better than most coffee shops and they offer flavored options for those with a sweet tooth. The yolks are consistently runny when requested. The staff are friendly, and the cafe has a clean and fresh atmosphere. The toilets are also very clean."

"I went to this restaurant twice now and both times I wait for an hour to eat. each deserves a second chance so that I visited for the opening, in the hope to have another experience. I don't have that. we had come to the point where we wanted to arrive at 2.30 and not get our food until after 4 was not what we expected. our food finally came, but divided so that we waited longer. the manager gave us free drinks, for which we were grateful, but the server took so long that she brought the manager herself. a server came to ask us if we would like to bill if we had not finished our drinks or foods that makes us feel like going. although the manager originally tried to make our experience right. it was separated from the server that asked us if we wanted to bill. we traveled 2 hours for this restaurant his sad to see that it had not changed. if they want to wait over an hour to eat feel compelled to leave due to more bookings, then they go on."

"Been meaning to go to the Store for a roast dinner for a while as i have eaten here before and the atmosphere, drinks and food have always been top. Unfortunately the roast dinner did not live up to expectations. The roast beef is 19£ in which you would expect it to be very high standard. We ordered all the sides as it was a girly get together and we had been looking forward to the roast for ages. To our surprise, the food came out pretty quick we ordered 2 x beef and 1 chicken. The beef had 1 slice of beef 2 potato 2 carrots some sort of small onion cabbage thing and 1 piece of broccoli and a dried out Yorkshire pudding FOR 19£!! I couldn't believe it, our sides then came out the cauliflower cheese had hardly any cheese or sauce, the pigs in blankets were burnt and some missing blankets, the stuffing was the only decent side. My other friends chicken then came out which looked like a better portion side but was unfortunately cold. She sent this straight back and believes that it was microwaved and given back to her so she refused it. Me and my other friend was so hungry we had no choice but to eat the food. We pulled this up with the waitress and if im honest she couldnt have been happier to help. They dealt with the situation very well. We was offered a discount on the food and extra roasties. I can say that when eatting the roast the gravy was good but the potatoes were not good and the lack of food on the plate for 19£ put an overall sore taste in our months. The way the staff handle the complaint was second to none so on this basis i will be returning to the restaurant just probably not order a roast. If the price wasnt so high there wouldnt be such high expectations. Maybe something to consider for the future."

I could end there, but would undermine the meaningful food, friendly staff and the domestic atmosphere. on a warm summer evening, when they close their eyes, they can imagine that they 're actually in itals instead of...er, croydon (the 'd guess! . salve is an atem of fresh air from the tasteless Italian chains and pretentious fine restaurants in the center of london. seriously, pay attention to the generous portions, make sure they try to die the olives and the risottos (probably quite literally when they eat them too often. fresh fish specialities are always good and sometimes excellent. I spend a lot of time here and would list salve as my favorite Italian restaurant."

"I visited a few drinks and chilled lunches with my friends. I was once here for drinks I knew I loved the environment. we tried the pub page first, as there were enough seats and we had the opportunity to sit outside. due to the small bar menu we decided to sit and order on the restaurant side. we were on the restaurant side and waited to be sitting. that was waiting very long for a big party before us. Unfortunately no one asked us if we had been seen, so here the quality of service was missing. we waited after 15 minutes, but because it was hot and we had good parking we stayed! after approx. 20 minutes waiting time had finally taken place, we were offered quickly menus and our drinks orders were taken. our soft and alcoholic drinks quickly arrived together with an ice cup for our wine. we all decided to burger with fritten and had a Sharer plate of potato-dupfer-nachos. the food arrived in time and everything was hot and fresh. the potato-dupfer-nacho plate was beautiful, much jalapenos and a large bowl cheese sauce, more than enough for all potato dimmers. the burgers were tasty and the fries crispy, the portions were great and we all fought for the doublepattys to finish! we couldn't even order dessert that we were so full. service was friendly and efficient, apart from the first waiting period. would be recommended and will return."

"Having sampled food in many cafes in and around Purley, Kenley, South Croydon, Warlingham and Whyteleafe, Marmaris is the best by far. There are many other good cafes, but this is better than good. The food is cooked to perfection. For example, whilst a full English breakfast can often be greasy and sometimes a bit unappetising, here it is tasty and not greasy at all. And chips...... don't get me started on the chips.....! Just delicious! Portion sizes are large, yet the price is very reasonable. Staff are lovely too, very friendly, and service is fast."

"MIXED REVIEWS for good reason and you would hope the owner would pay attention. 1. Hygiene is not as good as it could be and that is bad for many customers even if staff dismiss it. 2. Customer service us variable. Bad for customers because they want to go somewhere they can rely on for a friendly welcome. 3. Fairness has been questioned. Several customers complain of being watched (too much by staff when using the buffet. We were. This shouldn 't be. It suggests a selfishness by the management. 4. Food quality is mixed... and this is just not acceptable. Food quality must be consistently excellent. Our visit was after a funeral, we were a large Party of 20+, a mix of very old to the very young. We were treated well and the starters were tasty. The buffet wasn 't open when we arrived but opened quickly enough. Standard dahl, potato and spinach curry, chicken curry etc. They were tasty (but as said, we were watched was it to see how many visits? . I have been to other Mirch Masala restaurants, they are pretty standard. I quite like the no frills plain tables, canteen style feeling. You 're there to eat staple Indian food. That 's it. But, as a customer, you want to know that the food is safe and that the environment is clean, and that the management are generous and fair. My hope is that Mitch Masala management read back the many positive and negative reviews and take action to change people 's perceptions so that it only achieves 4* and 5* reviews in future. Will I be back? Yes, for sure (and I 'll be ready to make another detailed review."

"Treated POORLY. I think that’s ultimate issue I have with the visit, the food was okay, typical style buffet, all you can eat, a nice variety of food but customer service was abysmal! I was celebrating my 23rd birthday with family and some friends but really was let down in how was treated by staff. I felt no one there who worked there cared it appeared no one served with any sort of smile and the was a lot of unnecessary bureaucracy by the staff. For example a bit of bureaucracy was when my sister and her boyfriend was about £10 short and wanted to pay the rest of the bill through card payment method and bare in mind they do accept card and cash but the person who was in-charge of front of desk refused to accept this and effectively had to use some of my own cash to pay for the entry even before sat down to eat. It comes across as unnecessary and complicated. Other establishments I’ve been to allow this if you want to split the payment 50% cash or 50% card. They allow it. So I don’t see why the person who was front of desk needed to take issue with this. So that’s not a good start. Then when we lit the candles and the sparkler after we done the celebration bit and put them out as they/you do, after this was approached not once but twice by members of staff. I would consider candles or sparklers on a cake rather normal, I’ve been to other places in the past and not a problem but for whatever reason these two members of staff took issue with it and after the fact it was done and dusted and past issue. It just uncalled for and unnecessary and rude. I am trying to enjoy my birthday, enjoy my time out with loved ones, family and friends, yet these staff appeared to want to butt the heads in and try to ruin it, to ruin our time. I have made a formal complaint over it online through the complaint system they operate and who knows what the outcome of this will be but way I look at it’s £25 a head and I think one can reasonably expect paying that price to be treated with courtesy and respect and maybe even a warmer greeting and smile! It really wouldn’t go without a miss. Our group last night would’ve at least minimum contributed £222.80p to the restaurant in total and what did we get? Poor below par abysmal customer care and service. Really disappointed. And the food was okay as I said, some dishes was nice, some weren’t as nice, the fresh grill is a feature I do like and enjoy but ultimately when it was ruined some what by staff unnecessarily picking or not serving with a smile or being bureaucratic over how people pay then ultimately it lets it down. Plus also our special requests to have cake stored in fridge just seems like it’s a let down. But it is what it is, I can only share my thoughts and feedback."

"We had a wonderful carvery meal at this restaurant last Saturday evening. It had been a while since our last visit, but we were pleasantly surprised by the experience. Alfie was fantastic, helping us from start to finish. He was friendly, efficient, and accommodating to our needs, making him a valuable asset to the restaurant. My wife and two daughters also thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The chef, whose name we unfortunately didn't catch, was a real positive character at the carvery station. Despite lamb not being available when we went up, he kindly informed my wife when it would be ready, instead of the other meats that were available. Although my youngest daughter had to wait a bit for her sausages to be ready, it didn't impact our overall night out too much. The food and hospitality were great overall, and we will definitely be back. We may even consider trying their breakfast sometime soon! - Justin and Melissa"

"So we’ve been regulars here for the last 3/4 years, and the food and service has always been consistently exceptional. We went yesterday evening for the first time for Aftari and on a Sunday which btw we didn’t know they have Buffett only on Sundays. At first we were a little disheartened because on our drive down we had all chosen what we wanted to order upon arrival! However as we were now there we thought we would give it a go… and we were not disappointed at all! I tried everything, the starters/salans especially the aloo gosht was absolutely amazing compliments to the chef! The kids had starters and they made them fresh chips and nuggets. The roti was made fresh to order. Dessert station was great, the boys went for the chocolate fountain which the manger kept topping up with the marshmallows as I think it was our boys devouring all of them lol! The custard cake and kheer was perfect. The manager is exceptionally attentive to all his customers which is really nice, staff are really lovely, respectful and attentive too. We left yesterday after our first buffet experience there really satisfied and stuffed!!! It’s a lovely family experience and it will continue to be our “go to” place for a curry from Crawley so long as they continue to make the food as beautiful as they do!
