"On arriving in this lovely pub today, I was greeted by a lady called Ally. We decided to have lunch there and as we ordered a drink, we were handed menus. I ordered the chicken burger whilst my wife ordered the double stack hamburger. My wife being on a diet at the moment asked for an unusual request of no bun fries and extra salad and got that at no extra cost. when the food arrived it was very tasteful also well presented and the chef Jamie put his own twist on a lovely home-made coleslaw and also a very nice chicken burger. Something so simple he made his own and I must say it was delicious. Speaking with Ally and Jamie I found their customer service characteristics and personality wonderful and Jamie was very thankful of my compliment to his food. I really hope to visit this pub more often and perhaps maybe have dinner there. If you visit the wonderful town of Billingshurst, then this pub is a must."

"Booked in advance for Sunday Lunch for 4 as we had not eaten out for some time as the cost of living meant we’ve cut back so we were really looking forward to our treat as we had been to the pub on several occasions before. Sorely disappointed not only with the 1 hr 15 minute wait for our food (the pub was not busy), but also the lack of a sorry from any staff. Normally you pay to eat out as the food is usually better than what you could prepare at home… the Sunday Roast was a basic let down. Heated up and a little dry. Would AVOID for food and just go for drinks. Pub has gone downhill for us on this occasion as it just spoils your day and you get the privilege of paying a lot of money for it."

"There is a lot of good and bad things to say about Southwater country park and their cafe. The park its self its very beautiful and is a nice walk there is a few things that need updating but on a whole its very pleasant, the children's play area gets a bit over Crowded but that is the case in every park there is beautiful swans on the lake and I think it would be a very relaxing place to visit in the summer Went to the cafe for a coffee and a bite and ot was my first and last visit. It was very busy inside no social distancing and only one sanitizer station. They had very loud music playing that made it very difficult to hear the lady taking our order There was 4 staff in there one seemed to be in a tiz not really knowing what she should be doing.Anther one with a mass of messy blond hair lingering in the background. The girl making coffee was very calm and the coffee she made us was ok, I've had better but I've had worse. The lady on the till seemed to lake basic customer service skills and was very abrupt and shouted at us as she thought we was leaving at the entrance but I was grabbing my child who had attempted to run off.We had two lattes a egg mayo baguette sausage baguette and a kids lunch box this all came to £20.30The coffee was passable seemed to have no taste the kids lunch box was very reasonable but the ham sandwich was dry the sausage baguette was soggy and to top our bad experience off the egg mayo baguette had a long blonde hair in it.Because of how busy they was we decided not to make a scene and go somewhere else If I was to visit here again I will bring a pick nick next time"

"Just been to the pub to eat and, despite there being several (5+ tables free with no reserved signs on, and according to the website saying food is served until 9pm, I was told they were not taking any more bookings. I asked if all the tables were booked and the response was “we are not taking any more bookings”. 300 miles from home and we’re now walking into the centre of Horsham, which we don’t know, to find an alternative place to eat!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday to me."

"Having had some fantastic meals at this pub when the restaurant was run by the previous chef we had high hopes of the new electro pilot restaurant launched at the Foresters by Matt Gillan. We looked at the menu online which showed a good range of choice so we booked a table to eat on a Saturday night. I ordered the fish and chips described online as battered haddock fillets with triple cooked chunky chips pea fritter and homemade tartar sauce. My husband ordered the cheese burger again with triple cooked chips. What we actually got bearded no resemblance to this! My fish was a very small battered fillet served with French fries not home made and no pea fritter. My husbands burger had a strange looking mayonnaise type sauce in the bun and no cheese and was so sloppy the bun fell apart. Again was served with French fries. We were not at all impressed and our guests did not get their side order of veg. We had to send the burger back which meant my husband got his meal when we had almost finished ours. This restaurant had some great reviews with the previous chef and everything was home made and definitely value for money. It is a real shame as this is a lovely local pub and we often came to eat on a Friday or Saturday evening. Unfortunately we will not be eating again but will still frequent the pub to drink. This review has no reflection on the pub and its staff. Such a shame as it was such a good place to eat locally before."

"We visited Random hall three days ago to try out dinner we had never been before and live locally, however after our experience at random hall we will never visit again. Firstly when we called to make a reservation we spoke with a women who knows broken english and gives the general impression that she could'nt care less if we had dinner at her establishment or mc donalds. Her poor discourteous telephone manner and lazy attitude was sadly confirmed on visiting what appeared to be a tired restaurant. She showed us the table and sat us down. My salad that i ordered had a hair in it which was a rather unpleasant surprise. The main course was duck to follow which was nothing special overpriced and no where near the price we were asked to pay when I could cook better at home and believe me when i say i am no michelin starred chef! The beer i ordered was in a glass that tasted of neat detergent so i had to transfer it to another glass. Also strangly the bread and butter turned up after the starter which seems a strange way of doing things ! We were then told to pay cash for the food as they had no internet and the machines had stopped working i explained we planned to pay by card and was given a piece of paper and told to write down my card details which i refused to do. This was met with much disgust from the waitress the same lady who answers the phone takes orders and seats people in the restaurant ! Perhaps she cooks the food as well ?? No wonder she seemed unhappy. We were then reffered to the manager nigel who seemed fairly reasonable and by contrast to his rude staff seemed like quite a decent bloke. We agreed they would call us the next day for payment however this was not before the suggestion that we drop cash off to them the following day much to our disbelief!!!! I would not recommend this place nigel is a nice enough chap but everything else does not represent paying money for on any level. I also felt sick and had a stomach ache the next day who knows what that was?? Safe to say we will never return ....."

"We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant with a very creative menu. The chefs served us and it was a quiet night, which allowed us to chat with the staff about the food and wine. Definitely recommend visiting for a special occasion."

"Lovely location, gorgeous building.....food poor. We went as a party of 4, the smoked haddock was stone cold. When we complained the meal was taken away, reheated in the microwave and came back looking terrible. Having complained again were told there is nothing else they can do. What a shame as the location is gorgeous. My advice, get a new chef who knows how to actually cook."

"The Moon is under new management. There are clearly efforts to improve the paintwork. But, there are no pictures on the walls. The tables were sticky. The carpet is dirty, and chairs scruffy. The Ladies toilet had tape across it, labelled Danger, no entry. The food menu has depleted, with only burgers and pizzas. The burgers were overcooked, bread roll dry. This is the only pub in Storrington that serves food. It has completely lost it's way. This is so sad. Storrington has a large population. Gone are the days of busy evenings in the beautiful garden. The Sunday Carvery is not there. The pub now has a dart board, and quiz nights. Typical of a working man's club. Such a shame."

"This is the best burger I have found in a long time. Perfectly cooked, good food and not too expensive. Some burgers have too much filling and salad that you can't actually fit it in your mouth but they had put the onion rings on the side rather than on top. Some other burgers try to be a bit gourmet by adding fancy toppings. But if you're looking for a good beef burger with classic toppings without the stupid price tag go here. The service was brilliant, and my Mum loved the seafood platter which also looked delicious. In fact, the Seafood Platter looked so good that the couple we were talking to at the next table ordered it too."

"Not impressed to be honest. Not much has improved or changed in there after its reopening imo. Only had the burger and chips at £16 for lunch as everything else was off the menu! Poor burger patty, dry and I reckon just frozen. Bar service was bad on our visit too. Stood waiting for ages to get served, even though it was quiet, while the bar maid spent more time gassing to other customers she clearly knew. It was only after a while a young girl sitting at the bar clearly saw us being ignored, that she thought she'd serve us. Perhaps we were just unlucky on the day we chose to go in after Xmas. First impressions though weren't good and I'm not sure I'd rush back."

"our waitress was flawless and the wee was a unguter chardonnay delicious. unfortunately the same could not be said for eating. the goat cheese parfait of my friend should have been much lighter, my calamari was crispy, but mostly crushed and our scallops were oily and overcooked. somehow the pea pee had been made to taste the same as the Beetroot pee! our divided eton measurement type pudding was far, but the minegues were also overwhelmed. overall it was disappointing. there were only three guests, including ourselves, how can this place survive? henfield really needs a top-end, quality restaurant for these special meals come, the george, they can be this place!"

"As I 'm sure many others do, we stopped off whilst on the South Downs Cycle. It 's perfectly located and service was good. Food 'slightly ' dissapointing I had fish and chips (which given the proximity to the coast could have been better , one friend had a burger (reported to be good and another had a pizza (it looked like a cheesy mess but apparently was great! . Only a couple of beers had hoped for a few more options, but what they had was OK. Certainly worth a drink stop off, either as a reward for the leg north from Bramber, or as a loosener prior to going south!"

"quality no matter which location we visit. This time, we decided to try out the Pizza Express restaurant in the city center. We were not disappointed. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, the service was impeccable, and the food was delicious as always. We highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a reliable and tasty dining experience."

"We have visited this restaurant multiple times and always requested a table near the front door due to my husband's disability. This time, despite our request, we were seated at the back of the restaurant, making it difficult for us to reach the restroom. We had to inconvenience other diners and staff as we made our way back and forth. We have raised this issue before and have been accommodated in the past, but this time our request was ignored. We have been loyal customers for years, but this experience has made us reconsider returning. The food is usually good and the staff is friendly, but this time we felt neglected and it affected our overall dining experience. Despite an accident resulting in a spilled drink, our decision to find another restaurant to meet our friends is based on the lack of accommodation by the staff."

"It was a beautiful autumn day when we arrived at South Lodge, and the hotel grounds looked stunning. We were welcomed at The Camellia and headed to the nearby bar for a pre-lunch drink. The service was very friendly. The restaurant had a lovely ambiance, and although it was a busy Sunday dinner, the service remained excellent. I enjoyed a three-course Sunday roast beef lunch, which concluded on the terrace with coffee and shortbread biscuits. It truly was a special culinary experience."

"As the subject says we use Paninos to supply office buffet trays and food bags for training delegates. The food bags contain a sandwich, bag of crisps, snack bar and bottle of drink. The delegates choose in the morning and they are delivered ready for lunch. It works well as we don't handle the food.Prices are reasonable and the service is very good."

"My husband had booked dinner for us to celebrate my 75th birthday and was told that if the weather was nice, we could dine from the a la carte menu outside, as we had done on previous occasions. However, when we arrived, we were informed that outside seating was reserved for wedding guests only. We were seated in the Camellis restaurant, which was initially very quiet. We were given a set menu and when we asked for the a la carte menu, we were told it was not available. Unfortunately, there was nothing on the starter menu that my husband could eat, and the dish I ordered was not to my liking. The main course was okay, but the portion was quite small. We decided to leave before dessert, as it became too crowded. We were extremely disappointed with how our evening on June 19th turned out, especially since we had been looking forward to it for some time. If it weren't for the considerable deposit we had already paid, we would not have stayed for the meal. Although we had always been satisfied with our dining experiences here in the past, we will not be returning."

"This restaurant is small and gets extremely busy during lunchtime, so I recommend arriving a little early. The aroma of their hot food is delightful, and it's obvious that they have a large following."
