"It was late lunchtime (1.45pm today), when we arrived at The Wellington hidden away in Feltwell a mid West Norfolk village. In truth perhaps arriving late on a mid week day our expectations might have been rather low. However everything about this popular pub/restaurant is a little bit exceptional. Firstly the establishment is a shrine to the Wellington WW2 Bomber Plane I don 't expect you would find more memorabilia anywhere else outside the Imperial War Museum! That said there is a really comfortable bar and a separate restaurant which is very much upmarket 'officers mess ' perhaps a little old fashioned but impeccably furnished and like the rest of the establishment incredibly clean and well presented. So interesting, comfortable, welcoming, made us fell welcome, How about the food? They have a really good menu with basics you would expect from a pub, sandwiches, burgers, ham eggs and chips, sausage and mash, etc, to more adventurous daily specials. This makes it sound ordinary but the care, quality ingredients, and execution of these basic dishes set the Wellington well above its pub grub competition. In some respects very Tom Kerridge! I had an excellent Steak and Kidney Suet Pudding, perfectly done really tasty filling outstanding in fact, (choice of veg and gravy on the side) My wife ate every scrap of her Smoked Haddock Fillet with Horseradish Mash on a bed of Spinach, topped with a poached egg and Hollandaise Sauce she is quite a fussy eater and again I have to repeat that word it was excellent. Well done Wellington! Keep up the good work. Thank you."

"Tonight was a meal out to celebrate my fiancées birthday, and having heard so much about this restaurant and their outdoor dining pods, it made sense to book a meal there. We received a lovely warm welcome from Megan, who was to be looking after us for this visit, and then shown to our pod, where she had already put the heater on so it was lovely and warm when we entered. We ordered our drinks and then looked through the menu whilst waiting for them to arrive. When our drinks arrived, we gave Megan our order and for starters I ordered chicken strips coated in the Barns own seasoning with their home made barbecue sauce and, my better half ordered halloumi in the Barns own seasoning and chilli jam. We both then ordered the 10 oz ribeye steak to be cooked medium to well done. As an extra, I ordered the peppercorn sauce to go with mine. The starters arrived quickly and looked so good that it was a shame to eat them. Having had the starters, the main course arrived, and we were not disappointed. The steak was so tender it just melted when you ate it, there wasn't an ounce of fat on it, and it was cooked perfectly. After 2 courses, there wasn't a single thing I could fault. Next were the deserts which we had chosen from the menu, but when Megan came back to see us, she had a list of specials that she read out. This made us change our minds, and in the end, we ordered the Double Decker cookie dough with custard and the Kinder Bueno mousse in half an Easter egg with cream. These were definitely the right choices; they were the best. During our meal, we had a couple of glasses of wine, a shandy and coffee, and spent just under 2 hours there. The food was phenomenal, the service was exceptional, the atmosphere was fantastic, and a birthday girl was very happy. It wasn't the cheapest restaurant I've been to but, you do get what you pay for and if you don't believe me, take a trip to the Barn, Terrington St John, you will not be disappointed."

"I've been to the Red Lion many times since Jake and Lindsay and took over, and have not been disappointed once. The draught beer is cold every time and they have plenty of options. They had a few oktoberfest beers that were really good. It was exciting to have a bigger selection for that time. The food is well- prepared, cooked, and served. The soup is always piping hot, but not too hot! Their tagliatelle dish is to die for. I've even given a chance to some of their vegetarian options although I'm not vegetarian myself and they were delicious! The menu has options for everyone, even the kiddos, without being over or underwhelming. Dessert is a must at this pub! Their sticky toffee pudding MELTS in your mouth. The staff are always warm and welcoming and ready to accommodate. The wait staff are friendly and keep themselves available to customers throughout their meals. The bar staff are friendly and entertaining. I usually show go alone but having someone to chat to whilst I drink my pint is a treat! I will go back time and time again! Highly recommended! Vegetarian options: The vegan mushroom burger is a MUST for anyone who enjoys a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle. It is breaded and cooked to perfection! I myself am not a fan of mushrooms but I ate that burger and thoroughly enjoyed it ! Kid-friendliness: The pub welcomes kids of all ages! Out back of the pub is a beer garden that hosts a lovely play area for children and plenty of space to run in the grass. They've included kid size meals on the menu and keep their fruit shoots stocked! Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Garlic Bread, Sunday Roast from Carvery, Pudding"

"Absolutely delicious! The Filling Station Cafe: I have been to the Filling Station very many times over the last 5 years that I have lived in King 's Lynn. The premises; facilities, staff and food throughout that time have been consistently superb. The high quality of the food/beverages never changes. Always superb. Fresh, locally sourced ingredients and all meals prepared and cooked on the premises, makes for a lovely experience these days when we live in world full of coffee shop chains offering mass produced pre packaged foods. The staff are cheerful, professional, helpful and friendly the staff don 't change either which for me speaks volumes about how they feel at work too there is always a calm yet cheery atmosphere in the Filling Station. The value for money is excellent. Afternoon Tea: In addition I chose the Filling Station for the Catering for my 60th Birthday 'Afternoon Tea ' delivered to a local village hall and for 30 people. It was absolutely superb. Delicious finger sandwiches (5 different fillings); home made individual mini quiches, cheese scones with various toppings sausage rolls. This was all followed by a special request for variety of lemon cookies, Viennese fingers; millionaire slices and flap jacks alongside plain scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream. This was all delivered to a venue some 10 miles away and was absolutely superb! Fresh, delicious and beautifully presented! The quality was magnificent and it was superb value for money. I would highly recommend the Filling Station for it 's consistently superb quality; beautiful café; wonderful staff; equally excellent catering service and value for money."
