"I have booked my daughter a birthday party 2 weeks in advance online. Got confirmation email straight away. I also rung the restaurant as I've had some questions regarding cake and stuff. From the get go the staff were really friendly and informative. On the day we came a bit earlier just to make sure we have what we need. Again, we were warmly welcomed and assured of the proceedings. Danny, the person leading the pizza making process was marvelous with the children and very funny, making the whole experience wonderful for the children and putting us at ease when it came to entertaining. The whole party went really well with the food being very tasty and leftover packed for the guests to take home with them. At the end, when it came to payment, I've realised that I've forgotten my wallet and the only wat for me to pay was with my phone. The issue was that I could only pay £100 at the time, but to my rescue came Danny again, splitting the bill to smaller, under £100 chunks, putting my mind at ease. And for all that a massive thank you to Danny and staff on the day, that have catered to all our needs with the smile on their faces. 5 stars and a fat tip. Highly recommend."

We all had the best time at Pizza Express today. All the staff were amazing and friendly, an extra special thank you to chef Louie. My son was observing him and before I knew it, one of the waiters had swept an apron over his head and he was joining in! Also found him cutters and once he’d finished they even baked them for him to take home! He’s convinced he wants to be a chef when he’s older. Not great at all… been to this restaurant for many years but today was a bit of a shocker , we did book but arrived earlier but not an issue, did get told there was a wait on food we thought that’s ok l, however sat there for an hour with a drink not a staff member came to us at all asking or just updating us with food or would we like some water etc , seriously awful staff attention yes and probably lack of staff , this was awful and we should of got up and walked as this was seriously not acceptable but we didn’t , delay in food but an hour !! "We enjoyed a drink at the outdoor bar before having a fantastic meal with friendly service at this restaurant. They even added a special touch for a birthday celebration. The starters and mains, especially the seafood, were excellent. Don't miss the delicious lemon tart for dessert. This was our third visit and we can't wait to go back the next time we're in Norfolk."

"Stayed for two nights in a deluxe room with my dogs. The room was lovely and comfortable and the bathroom had a fantastic freestanding bath so felt very luxurious. Treats and a dog walk map were provided for the dogs. There is a big field next to the hotel for exercising dogs which is a great idea. You can walk to Brancaster beach easily too.This is a truly dog friendly hotel! There's also a big play area if staying with children. Breakfast each morning was excellent and plentiful. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was great. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. I have only put 4 stars because it seemed that they were short staffed in the evenings when we were eating in the restaurant so service was a little slow. Would definitely recommend Briarfields to anyone wanting a relaxing break on the Norfolk coast. Lovely rooms, great food and a fantastic location."

"Absolute rubbish, don’t eat there. We had what was very basic food with no flair or imagination from the kitchen, there is much better food at every other establishment in North Norfolk, the service was no better. I wouldn’t normally leave a bad review without complaining directly, but I don’t feel this place deserves the courtesy, they know they’re preparing and serving substandard food and charging over the top prices for it. We’ve been visiting North Norfolk for many years and the choice of where to eat is vast, so it’s taken a long time to eat at The Ship, every time we drive past I say, We’ll have to go there this week – I wish we’d carried on driving past! It was back at the beginning of July when we ate there and it’s because today I found the receipt in my wallet that I thought I must leave a review, £91 wasted, for 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 beer and one soft drink, it was very poor, the worst and most expensive meal of the week by a long way, shocking all round."

"We had made a reservation at their restaurant for dinner, and the staff that evening were fantastic. The lady and gentleman were exceptionally friendly, polite, and attentive. Despite being busy, they provided personal service, ensuring everything was perfect and that we had everything we needed. The food and drinks were reasonably priced, and the portions were enormous—my starter could have served as a main dish! After our meal, we enjoyed some drinks in the cozy lounge area. It was a relaxed atmosphere where we felt comfortable and welcomed, with no sense of being rushed. We decided to try breakfast, even though I usually skip it due to high prices. However, the cost was very reasonable for the extensive selection offered. There was everything from muesli and toast to a full English breakfast and eggs Benedict, plus unlimited tea, coffee, and juice. We are definitely coming back and have already started planning our next visit! Thank you for the wonderful experience—we’ll see you soon from the couple in Room 5, Thursday, April 12th."
