"We popped along here for a romantic meal on Saturday evening. There was a bit of a problem with the online booking system so I called up and reserved a table for 6:30pm Parking was nice and easy, a small council run car park opposite and also pay and display on street just outside. We arrived a little early to a friendly greeting and were seated in a nice secluded area at the back of the restaurant. Nice ambiance and quiet background music. We had a bottle with candle placed on our table which added to the atmosphere. Waiting staff were friendly and we ordered 2 glasses of Shiraz at a very reasonable price. Menu was nice and varied, something for all tastes. We 're on Keto diet so opted for the pork belly and extra veg, there was no problem customising our dish and everything was written down to ensure no errors. Food was served in about 10 minutes and was absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked, flavoursome and the pork just pulled apart. Veg had plenty of bite and the gravy topped it off beautifully. Was nice to have a 'comfort check ' too, we rarely seem to see that these days. Finished off with a flat white and a glass of water. The bill came to under £50 for the both of us and we were happy to add a decent tip due to the outstanding service and quality of food. We will gladly return again soon"

"I have been wanting to try Veggie Perrins for a long time and finally had the opportunity to visit them last night. I regret not going sooner, as I discovered some incredible Indian food, great service, and affordable prices. We ordered poppadoms, a starter, 3 main dishes, rice, and chapati, all for around £30 with two drinks! The value was unbelievable and the food was delicious. The restaurant has a cozy, family-run atmosphere and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. My only suggestion would be to switch from using plastic bottles for the mineral water and offer a different alcohol-free beer, such as Cobra Zero which I find tastier than Becks Blue. If you haven't been to Veggie Perrins yet, you must go immediately. We will definitely be returning soon!"

"Il Capriccio in Frankfort Gate has been out favourite Italian restaurant in Plymouth ever since it opened many years ago and have eaten here dozens of times with family and friends. Run by a lovely family with a delightful informal but wholly authentic feel. We were sad to discover that they would not be reopening after this lockdown but we’re pleased to find that the unit had been transformed into a little Thai restaurant Roy Thai which will see us again over the Bank Holiday Weekend."

"I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. They offer well-maintained ale, a good variety of wines, and delicious food. The seafood stew stood out as a highlight, but I also really enjoyed the pigs in blankets and mash. I didn't try the Sunday roasts this time, but I've heard great things about them in terms of portion size and taste. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant."

"Food, service and location this place has it all and if your really lucky to get a sunny balcony table the best spot in Plymouth. Karen and the team work incredibly hard behind and in front of the scenes to give an amazing Spanish experience. From the jugs of refreshing cocktails to the plated tapas. "although I always scroll through reviews before I go to eat quite a lot, I always forget to leave them. I sat in a hotel in paddington, where I should go after an evening meal and started over some of the best meal I've ever had (sad I know.) now I remember the most tasty, **** dish that has ever touched these lump lips, zuzimos crayfish and smoked speck risotto! I always have my favourite place to eat when I'm on my way and that's what it's for plymouth. I actually use to live in the apartment directly above zuzimos, and due to a venerable student budget at the time when I never really ate in it. now, I took my family back in the night before my graduation in september and I regret not eating there earlier than I did! I write this review almost for a year, so they know it must have been on another level! the hosting was great, eating was phenomenal and I will fall next time on every case when I am on this wise. P.S., it's late!"

"I recently had another fantastic meal at this restaurant. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was friendly. It's surprising that I only discovered this place in January, especially since it's located so close to my brother's house and only a 6-mile drive for us. Our first visit was for the carvery, which was amazing. The selection of meats and freshly cooked vegetables was outstanding. On our most recent visit, we tried the Pork Belly and Jalfrezi Curry, both of which were excellent. We've already booked a table for April. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the current cost of dining out. Overall, it's great value for money."

"I know pretty much everybody posts about the vegan breakfast but I would say it’s probably the best I’ve ever had. Excellent value for money too as you get lots Lots of lovely brownies, there was a choice of 4 vegan today I was told that they also do a flapjack. Only downside is that because it is so small was super busy today we did have to wait for over 30 mins for a table but it was worth the wait"

"I had heard great reviews about this restaurant, but unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. We were seated in the courtyard, but our table was right next to a speaker playing loud music, which made it hard to have a conversation. I ordered a pizza that was supposed to have courgettes as one of the toppings, but it only had a few small shavings of the vegetable. The rocket salad was small and most of the rocket was not fresh. My friend ordered a pizza with Parma ham, but again, the toppings were sparse with only a few small pieces of ham. Having tried many pizzas in Italy, including Naples, where this restaurant claims to be authentic, I found the pizza base to be too soft and the toppings disappointing compared to the abundance of toppings on an Italian pizza. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this restaurant."

"Somewhere tasty needed for an Saturday whilst visiting Exeter and not booked at 8 pm. Goto came up on TA. Close to hotel. Doesn’t look like much from outside but welcoming when we went in. Snagged the last table. Not an expert in Japanese food, but know good, tasty food and they have it in spades. Tempura prawns x 5 and some veg tempura too and fried chicken Kara age were special. The turbot nigiri delicate flavoured with a seriously hot wasabi and lovely pickled ginger. Will be having more of this next time. Mains of chicken Katsu (beautiful chicken, curry sauce and a chicken teriyaki to make you weep. So soft and mous. Both served with a mountain of rice. Kirin beer for me. Plum sake for partner. The latter is moreish, with a rich plum flavour. Try it if you see it. So what a find. An easy place to walk past and ignore. Don’t do that!"

"Fantastic and varied menu with good prices. We didn't even know that Tea Bun existed and just happened to go by while on the market, so decided to stop for lunch. So glad we made it! I went for the ducks bao rolls that were so full of taste and the salad that came with was so fresh! My first time, bubbles try tea... interesting and the mango was very refreshing. I will definitely come back as I am a huge lawn lover, so would love to give her an attempt. Thanks also the wonderful staff x"

"I can't say anything bad about Zeus, it's one of my most popular from all the restaurants I've ever been in the kitchen was absolutely delicious the service was excellent and I have to say the best prices I've ever seen it was very cheap and very good the 3 course meals was blown mind so I have to say Zuus is the best restaurant in Plymouth. Also Zeus is a fantastic place for a first date when you ever loved one or someone you just meet for the first time I did, and I took my other half there and we both really enjoyed us and really loved to be honest about Zeus we now get married."

"@Kitchen doesn't disappoint again. Partner and I headed here for lunch for the first time in a while and it's still as good as always! Fresh, quick, delicious Vietnamese food with a smile. The only reason I've given four stars not five is that my banh mi could have had more sauce in it. The drunken noodles are delicious and the spring rolls are the best I've had. We'll be back!"

"I had went in for dinner here and it was amazing food, ambiance and staff. From the moment you walk in your will be greeted with very friendly and cozy family themed interior design which personally I love because even if you go eat there alone it doesn't feel lonely. The food was just amazing I loved everything Abt it I had gotten the jiraa rice, chicken chili, chicken sadeko, chicken momo, the king prawn Kathmandu, sheerpa khasi, chicken saslic. All of them came in right time intervals from the starter to the mains so that you have some time to really enjoy your starters. All the staff were sooo friendly and the service was great. All in all a very great experience and I would encourage others to try as well if they are craving to have Nepalese/ indian cuisine."

"I'll be honest and my partner was particularly disappointed. For the first time at Müller and Carter I ordered a burger and ordered the steak. My burger was not a Brioche beer in a white role. With a hearty piece of bacon and cheap tasting cheese. I was in many restaurants by Müller and Carter Preis-Range and above. And the burger here was really very simple and only your base house cooked BBQ Burger tbh. Neither of us tasted quality at all. Tested like quite standard foods claim to be fine. I didn't complain because I didn't do that (anxiety thing) it was unusable, but only disappointed. Wouldn't go again."

"Located in the basement, easier access via Colin Campbell Car Park. Booking is not essential but highly advisable. We were a party of 16 for a surprise birthday party, so pre-booked and ordered starters and main courses in advance. This made the work of all staff much easier, which they appreciated. Food was excellent, including vegan and special dietary needs and a couple of young children. Drinks are ordered at the bar with a minimum card spend of £10. Staff were very helpful and competent as well as patient with the children and disabled members of the group. Not suited to wheelchair users as the flight of stairs is short but steep. Overall, it was good value for money and a good night out. One downside was as the evening wore on, the music got louder and conversation was impossible. That was the general consensus of the group. Having said that, everyone enjoyed the night and would recommend it to others."

"I/We have been going to The Dock for breakfast for a couple of years now, on and off. On the last two occasions of visiting The Dock 1. They had no gas so the menu was limited. 2. The friendly atmosphere seems to have disappeared and familiar faces have left. 3. The car park situation is awkward as the wasteland you could once park on has been closed off, so you have to use the Marina carpark which is small and has no disabled parking. The one thing that has not changed is the view, which is lovely when the sun is out. The food is ok, but unfortunately not as good as some of the other cafes in Plymouth."

"The restaurant no longer offers a separate vegan menu. Instead, they now offer two salads and Vietnamese "meat"balls in sweet and sour sauce as vegan options. The mushroom burger with chips can also be made vegan by simply removing the halloumi, but not by substituting it with another ingredient. As someone who isn't a fan of mushrooms and was looking forward to some pub grub after a hike, I was a bit disappointed that my only option was the "meat"balls. While they were reasonably tasty, the sauce noodles tasted like they came from a packet. The price was also a bit steep at £16. Update from previous review on 2023-09-01."

"Unfortunately, this restaurant has deteriorated over the past year. While the bar side received a fancy refurbishment that brought it up-to-date, the kitchen renovation never happened. The atmosphere is lacking, with the staff not seeming to enjoy their work, and the place is not well-maintained. The bathrooms are best avoided. It's a shame, as this pub used to be a lively spot in the village. Hopefully, they can bring back the previous staff members. Currently, they do not serve food, so dietary restrictions are not applicable. There is parking available outside on the main road, but wheelchair accessibility is not available."
