"I made a reservation for four people at this restaurant after finding it online while looking for a good place for roasts/carverys in the area. I was a bit unsure at first, but I was pleasantly surprised. The decor is a bit old-fashioned, but it has charm and is very clean and well-maintained. The staff were all friendly and attentive. They had a nice selection of lagers and ales at reasonable prices, as well as Fentiman's soft drinks and Fevertree tonics. The carvery had well-cooked, high-quality meat joints, crispy roast potatoes, delicious Yorkshire puddings, cauliflower cheese, leeks in cheese sauce, and a variety of vegetables, stuffing, and gravy. Everything was replenished promptly and the serving station was kept clean and tidy. The rest of the menu also looked enticing, with other traditional homemade pub dishes. Overall, excellent value. We will definitely be returning!"
