"Didn't stay at the hotel but had a late Sunday lunch at the restaurant. It maybe because we were the last of service but service was quite slow. There was quite a pause from being seated to ordering drinks and our mains. The food when it came was a mixed bag. I personally cannot stand cauliflower cheese, but this one... I ate the lot...it was delicious and also had broccoli in it. The meat and gravy were also unbeatable however ... the roast potatoes looked as if they'd been under a warmer for the past 4 hrs and unfortunately did not taste any better...they were niether crisp or fluffy but instead dry and a little rubbery. The impressive size of the Yorkshire pud almost made up for this but not quite as that was also not as fresh as it could have been. I am certain, however, that if being served earlier, we were in at 4 pm, everything would have been unbeatable and 5 star. Unfortunately, not all can get booked in early, and it should always be worth keeping the food fresh, shouldn't it...?"

"visit usa and thought for a pub style lunchtime. this place was not disappointed. I ordered the blt that came on a large baguette with very thick cut speck. so delicious! fries were thick, large, square cut and cooked exactly. beer was cold and delicious. it really enjoyed this place. the personal was also friendly. parking can be difficult, but if they are familiar with the opposite, I think there are some hidden from street parking. can't go wrong with the rampart!"

"Thanks very much for a lovely roast at the White Hart. We have just come on a very busy Sunday (after only reserving our table the this morning) and the roast was absolutely amazing. One of the best pork belly roasts I have had, with very generous portions Due to other customers causing delays on us sitting down, the team were hugely accommodating and apologetic even though it was not their fault. They gave us a free bottle of wine as a kind gesture for the delay and amazing service throughout the remainder of our sitting. Highly recommend and will be back."

"Our first visit to this tidy, spacious establishment. For those of a certain age there are some comfort food items on the menu including liver and bacon, steak and kidney pud and spotted dick other tastes are catered for. Mrs B. is addicted to fish and chips. Too many chips on the plate a common practice and such a waste. They scored 8/10 though. The fish’s batter was thin and crispy. Gone are the days when I could manage steak and kidney pud followed by spotted dick, so I plumped for swordfish steak. It was a meaty generous portion with tasty new potatoes, accompanied by buttered cabbage, sugar snaps and chantenay carrots all tasty and al dente. Pity about the soggy nuked broccoli. ‘Twas not the spotted dick of my “yoof” when I would have had cream, ice cream AND custard with it), it was a lighter version, a smaller dick and not as spotty, with a hint of spice, That did not detract from my enjoyment just ice cream and custard, if you are wondering). All reasonably priced. And joy of joys no service charge. Can’t wait to go back."

"since we haven't been back a few years after a busy lunch earlier and thought that it might have visited better chequers on Wednesday for a Christmas dinner. I ordered a few drinks and asked to start a tab as we order. I'm sorry to have a look at the menu so we can only find it on pizzas, burger and extras. at least decided to settle for burger with extras and returned to the bar to be greeted by a sharp barman asking if I was right. mention the command to say, I'm sorry that cucumber should tell them before we only make pizzas none of the bar staff wore masks. Once they were finished, the workers met in front of the door to smoke their blur. we left our drinks and found a much better place in chipstead. what a kind of business to run in such an iconic building. shan does not go back unless there is a change in management"

"Visited the cafe in April. It has a nice feel, generally good service and whilst the food was good quality the prices are still very excessive for the portion sizes and the full package of what is served. The ingredients may well be locally sourced, but alot of other establishments could say the same and for at least a third of these prices. £9 for a bowl of soup is inexplicable and also think it is unfair to ask customers to pay additional for gluten free bread when a great many coastal towns in Kent are fully geared up for GF customers and do not charge extra."

"Went here for lunch with a friend. Beautiful bar, restaurant and toilets but the food was awful. The mussels with bread was tasteless. The mussels were tiny, the sauce was bland, cold and the bread was on the verge of being stale!!! I was so hungry I ate as much as I could but I had to leave the rest . My pea ravioli was just about edible too and again Luke warm!! The tomatoes tasted “Woolly” as if they were soggy. I wish I wasn’t feeling under the weather that day because I wanted to send my food back, but I could f be bothered. My friends dish Mac and cheese) was just as bad. Again just reheated mush, tasteless and stodgy ! Service was mediocre besides a lovely young man who saw us to our table and assisted us with the choices of wine. Otherwise it was inattentive and staff need to hang around in corners chattering away and outside having a cigarette because it looks highly unprofessional and really puts me off. I’ve emailed the company to give this feedback because the setting is lovely and I was really looking forward to going here, but please think twice because it’s really average and you’d be wasting your money. Come on -up your game because you have a great place !"

"A popular place with a good reputation. This was our first visit here and we were sadly disappointed. The haddock was well cooked but the batter was too thick and somewhat more greasy than expected. (Just as if the cooking oil temperature was less high than needed). The size of the chips portion was on the small side, though the quality of the chips was OK. So nothing to rave about, and not in any way unacceptable. The pricing was slightly on the high side, but with prices going up all the time that little extra cost might have been expected. There are better fish and chip shops, but maybe not in Edenbridge."

"Visited here for the first time after meaning to for ages! Myself and my friend came in with our 9mo and 12mo old babies for brunch with the warmest welcome. It’s always daunting to go out to eat with terror babies but not once did the staff make us feel uncomfortable. Accommodating with high chairs. Both had bagels which were delicious and accompanied with a fresh side salad. Hot chocolate was yummy and the pot of loose leaf tea came with a quirky “steep timer”. I liked this idea. Cakes were also delicious. Overall, the general atmosphere customer service was top notch. Really reasonable prices unlike most places nowadays. Apologies again for the mess our kids made, I would have happily swept up if you had let me! Looking forward to returning."

"The staff at this restaurant are friendly and I had the best burger in a long time during my first and second visits (at a decent price too). However, I was disappointed on my third visit, as the burger was too salty and oily, and even the bread seemed to have been soaked in oil. It was a real shame, as the excess oil ruined the entire dish. I wonder if there is a new chef in the kitchen. The pub has a pleasant atmosphere, but the place appeared a bit run down, especially the restroom. A good renovation would be much appreciated. Customers can register their car for free parking by using the tablet located on the counter."

"As my husband turned 60 at the beginning of the month we decided to celebrate with 30 family members. Our obvious choice was Ephesus’s due to their location and always great standard of food. They went above and beyond our expectations!! The food was not only superb and plentiful but it was the service given by all staff involved. I can’t rate this highly enough and would 100% recommend"

"I booked dinner fort wo for this evening yesterday. Nothing was mentioned about the car park being booked for a group of bikers. So on arrival I was delighted to see a near empty car park ,especially as we had made several abortive visits previously with family and there was no parking. However on entering the pub was advised you will need to move your car at 7. 30 as the car park is fully booked for the bikers. Had I been told this yesterday we would have found a space and walked to the pub without having to feel rushed to be out by 7.30. Such a shame as we really love this pub and they have a great menu but out of principle we decided to leave and go elsewhere. Sorry but after yet another abortive visit we will no longer be trying again."

"There are good vegan options available at this restaurant, although some are tastier than others. I particularly enjoyed the vegan rice with sweet tofu on the children's menu. My favorite dish is the vegan pad thai. In January 2020, they introduced a watermelon steak dish, which was nice overall (all the extras were great) but the texture of the "steak" was odd and seemed too much like meat. If it were made with tofu instead, it would be my favorite. The avant-garde vegan bowls with vegan egg were also a bit strange and didn't quite hit the mark, tasting more like coconut with a strange texture. Despite this, I commend Wagamama for making a significant effort to cater to vegans."

"When I went back tonight craving meat and chips but not very hungry, I decided to order the kids portion. I noticed one of the staff members speaking to a colleague in their language (presumably about not giving me as many chips). When I asked for chili sauce on the meat, they questioned whether kids could have chili sauce. I explained that the portion was too large for me and that I didn't want to waste food by ordering an adult size. Unfortunately, the chips in the kids portion were soggy and undercooked. The attitude of the staff was off-putting, and as a result, they have lost a potential regular customer in me."

"Had afternoon tea yesterday, lovely location, we were a table of 6. Only 2 other tables of 2 in the room. We ordered hot drinks for 5 and one cold drink. 3 got drinks came out with the cold one, then waited a good 10 minutes for the rest, so some people had finished there's before the others came out. Afternoon tea came out, lovely little starter tart, but we didn't get the fondant biscuit it said on the menu. The sandwiches were lovely, the scones were warm and fresh. The top layer though was a bit of a let down. Too many soft things, panna cotta, mousse, orange delice. All very sweet and a bit sickly. We all saved the macaron til last but it was not nice, dry, no chewiness, flavourless and the amount of food colouring in it dyed our fingers and teeth Overall not the best afternoon tea I've been too especially for the price of £35 They did however do a lovely little plate for the birthday girl which was a lovely touch."

"I stumbled upon this restaurant while on a long walk and made a last-minute reservation. I knew nothing about it, but I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome. The staff quickly seated us and brought out our drinks. The decor was unique and created a cozy atmosphere. The service was excellent, with friendly staff who were attentive to all our needs. The food was beautifully presented, with generous portions that were both delicious and healthy. Overall, it was a great dining experience and I would definitely come back again."

"we came here as a four-headed family to the birthday of my stepsons. it was a very disappointing experience about what should have been a special evening. we ran back a few minutes, so I tried to call the restaurant to inform the employees that our table. was not given away, but after trying the phone was never answered. at the arrival we then saw that our table of a group was given away before us and was accompanied by the toilets to a really cozy sitting on the back. it all went down from here. we were completely forgotten. olives applied for and subsequently requested twice more were finally delivered after the stained plates were not deleted. table water supplied, but no glasses. cakes brought out, but no plates or cutlery. I need to talk to the manager twice. although friendly, he seemed too busy to care and service not improved. a very friendly older waiter saw my problems and came to our rettung thank you and one of the many waiting staff who served us - a young man - was very polite and friendly and he also helped save our catastrophic night. the food was also excellent thanks to the kitchen thank you. but because of terrible service and table, all in all not good. we are not coming back. come with pizza express sevenoaks, you can make it better."
