"Went to this Sardinian seafood restaurant twice in a week; had to cab it both times at it is out of the city center but just E12 for a party of 5 from the Largo Argentina Taxi stand. Reservation is a must especially for the nonsmoking room in front of the restaurant. No English spoken so get someone from your hotel to call for you. No tourists either. Why twice? For E35 set menu per person (and no expected tip , the moment you sit down, they set an ice bucket for mineral water and a bottle of wine--replaced without prompting. Then, the show begins...12, yes TWELVE, seafood appetizers arrive- stuffed mussels, steamed mussels, octopus salad, squid salad, fried fresh anchovies (wonderful , oysters, baby octopus, grilled sweet peppers and zucchini, seafood salad, razor clams, pickled salmon, grilled eggplant. After your'e full already, they bring on a plate of seafood risotto, followed by spaghetti with clams (white sauce , then spaghetti with seafood (tomato sauce . They show no mercy and ignores your flag of defeat as they present a large plate of grilled and fried fish, shrimp, scampi, calamari (for our party of 5, there were 2 grilled whole fish, about half a dozen grilled scampi, half a dozen grilled shrimp, about a dozen fried fresh shrimp and then lots of fried calamari . The plate is accompanied by an equally large plate of radishes/fennel/celery with olive oil/salt/pepper dipping sauce. As if you still have room for more, they give a small cup of lemon granita. Then, they hit you again with a plate of mixed fresh fruit on ice in big slices and some whole to serve yourselves with oranges,kiwi,plum,pineapple,melon,watermelon. Then, a bottle of grappa and a bottle of mytle liquor is set on your table with shot glasses filled with ice to help yourself. If you can walk off the table, you just pay at the register in the front... As said, you don't have to lift a finger; cutlery and plates are changed and whisked away. Lots of families celebrating together; a men's club (soccer team? having toasts until the food comes and they get busy..."
