"This place was my ancestral home and so the commentary may include some bias. My Italian cousins found the place while looking for a missing painting. The painting is still missing but we found this majestic and perfect villa with an accompanying landscape marked by...lavender, rosemary, fruit filled trees, oranges, lemons, tomatoes and vineyards. Needless to say the wine was magnificent. The red was my favorite but everyone also seemed to enjoy the white. Upon arrival we were greeted by Grazia who could not have been more accommodating. A true professional with regards to customer service. Everywhere we turned the beauty of the place and the landscape was mesmerizing. The air was filled with all these wonderful scents and the architectural splendor of the villa and surrounding buildings melted perfectly into the landscape. The current owners restored this place to its former glory and actually improved upon it because everything works perfectly well now. One can see there was a great deal of time and effort dedicated to this place and a thoughtful restoration was performed. The rooms are large. The bathrooms are great and the beds are comfortable. The dinner consisted of an antipasto, a soup course, a pasta course and the secondo which was usually a meat dish. The finale was a dessert and the wine flowed. You will definitely want to eat at least breakfast and dinner at the Torraccia because it is up on top of the hill. I would not drive the gravel road at night. It is basically a one lane road. I had a Smart Car and it was fine but not to be driven late at night. The staff gives you a big glass bottle of water at night with glasses and a friendly buon riposo. In the morning the breakfast consists of meats, breads, homemade jams, fruit salad, croissants, homemade tortes, cheeses, cereal and yogourt. There is clearly something for everyone. One negative....in a land of excellent coffee the coffee was american style. I asked for an espresso and it was decent but not great. Another small negative is the hair dryer. You will have a challenge trying to style your hair with this unit because as soon as you pull on it it goes on and then when it slacks it shuts itself off. I pulled my hair back in a ponytail after trying the first day to dry it. When you are there, the pool is great. I went for a AM swim and San Gimignano is in the background. What a great workout. Do NOT miss San Gimignano, or Siena. Siena's Piazza del Campo is the most beautiful piazza in all the world, second is the Pantheon in Roma. I took my daughter to Volterra and we enjoyed both the drive and the town. I left the Torraccia at AM and was at the Rome Train Station at AM. It is an easy ride on the (Florence to Rome toll road). The owners of the Torraccia are incredibly hospitable and regal in nature and I was honored to have met them. I know they deserve this special place and by welcoming others make the experience more globally appreciated. They are the perfect family to carry on the wonderful traditions my own family enjoyed for centuries here. I highly recommend the agriturismo for anyone wanting to relax amidst the Tuscan countryside."

"3.5/4 for me. Feb 2, 2024 Ordered for the following 1. Involtini prima vera crisp and bigger than some other counterparts in pavia. Stuffed well and can be eaten with the salsa provided as a compliment containing tomato, pepper, chilli flakes, oil etc. 2. Riso con verdure miste rice texture was sticky , subtly sense of salt that one won't feel easily but its presence can be felt carefully analysed. In verdure vegetables there were carrot cut in julienne, zucchini , Enoki mushrooms , corn, scrambled eggs etc. Amazing to have. One might feel an lack of salt depending on the culture one comes from or follows. But in general the recipe itself includes very little salt to it. 3. Tofu con salsa piccante amazingly soft tofu that melts even before chewing comes with onions , green/yellow peperoni, Gravy at the bottom that was mildly hot in taste as it has a warm touch on the tongue and a slight burning sensation on throat which is good to have in winters mostly due to the inclusion of peppers. 4. Udon con verdure e uova thick soft spaghetti with carrots in julienne, zucchini, scrambled eggs that tasted saltier which mostly might be due to the fact that eggs are scrambled first with salt and then spaghetti is added , onions , eggs, Enoki mushrooms, etc. The plates made me feel I was having a sizzler. The udon was served on a wood base with a kinda cast iron plate shaped in the form of an animal on top that was piping hot to keep the udon hot and fresh. Overally the experience was a decent one and could be recommended to friends for mainly the price , apart from food. However I think it's a bit under staffed and there's a kind of an unknown communication gap among them. Thank you. Vegetarian options: There are less vegetarian options but still atleast one can get 5 to 10 vegetarian options which is still a decent one, in my opinion. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €10–20 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4"
