"Had found this spot online and thought it looked good by the reviews. Got cocktails to start which were nice. I informed the waiter that I was allergic to egg and nut (in French and English as I know it can get mixed up with the language barrier) he repeated and said he understood. We ordered the buffalla and tomatoes to start, which arrived with pesto on it (wasn’t listed on the menu). Thankfully, before trying it assuming my nut allergy had been passed to the chef, I asked another waitress that was walking past if there was nut in the pesto, and she said there was pine nut (the original waiter was running around and I could not get his attention). I informed her that I was allergic to nut and had already specified my egg and nut allergy to the other waiter, so she brought it back to the kitchen and another plate without the pesto was brought out. For main I ordered the tuna which included Gnocci. I know from previous experience that it can be made without egg, so having specified the allergy twice I tried a few. I started to feel ill and asked another waiter if there was egg. He checked with the kitchen and confirmed that there was egg in the Gnocci. I had to rush to the bathroom to get sick before the allergic reaction got worse. All pharmacies around were closed and I had run out of antihistamine. Thankfully, one of the waiters had antihistamine with him and kindly gave me the remainder of the packet. As a result of the food allergy and 20+ minutes in the bathroom trying to get sick, they said we didn’t have to pay. Had I assumed the food allergy was passed to the chef and had eaten the pine nut, it would have been a completely different situation resulting in a night in hospital or worse. The fact that the food allergy wasn’t highlighted even when the burrata with pesto was brought back to the kitchen is extremely disappointing, and dangerous. Had the food allergy not been an issue, I would have given 3 stars, as the food was mediocre (I was dining with someone who does not have food allergies)."

Felt like a bit of a tourist trap. Staff are friendly but the ambiance feels a bit like a cantine bright lights and noisy. Food arrived cold. I felt it was overpriced for what it was.

Lovely meal. The caprese salad was amazing! We also had a lovely fish dish with saffron and a desert to die for! As an added bonus the staff were friendly and efficient. Well worth a visit.

pleasant and efficient reception, very attentive despite the arrival of a large group. The dishes are correct, lack a little seasoning for us. On the other hand, excellent desserts with a baba to fall. Nice frame.

Enjoyed two dinners at this lovely restaurant. Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Menu is good with some interesting options. Bouillabaisse was excellent. Perfect fish and soup. Chicken I had with pasta was not as I wanted. Pasta in mushroom sauce ended up being a soggy mess. Not well presented. Desert of lemon tar was delicious.

Visited twice in two days! Suffice to say, had the best meals there in Marseille. Food and service were excellent. Especially loved the prawn and avocado salad (beware, large portions), and the Tonka and Dalloyau cakes. My husband claims the gigantic prawns are the best he’s had in his life. Would definitely return if back in Marseille.

After a walk around the old town and a recommendation, 1860 Le Palais was the evening choice for dinner. Whilst the outside terrace was available. Inside was the preferred option. The QR Code was easy enough to transfer to the English translation as well as staff speaking perfect English unlike my not so perfect French. Ravioli won by a country mile and a return will be not too far away.

Me and my wife Got a good champagne to start with. Ordered Cesar salat and asked for a full portion of octopus with wild garlic. Both dishes were disappointing and expensive. The salad was without character and the octopus too salty and partially cold like it had been reheated! Ásked for cassis wine but got inferior Chardonnay wine and was charged 10.50 for the glass. Not recommendable place.

The food was fair, although overpriced. The experience was one of the worse I had in a restaurant. Ended paying at least €70 €80 more than expected, because the blonde waitress couldn't have the decency to say she doesn't understand a word of English. Asked her 3 times for the dish of the day, confirmed it, and as we were finishing dinner she came, laughing silly, to whisper in my ear that she made a mistake which meant €80 more for us) and WITHOUT even an apology. She continued laughing through the process of us paying and leaving. We left the place and definitely wouldn't recommend.
