"Set not far from Morlais castle and the quarry (good to have a walk there near the golf course and then come to the Aberglais after) it's in a good location with great views all around. Good home cooked style food and a cosy but small beer garden. The place does get busy during peak times with the carpark getting full, so better to pop in mid week. Various bottled ciders, cold pull beers and ales on tap. They always seem to have at least one felinfoel ale on tap (last time it was double dragon). Bar area is a bit too modern for my tastes (it would have been nice to have it a bit more traditional/rustic). Can't go wrong (good to have a walk down the road as well with good walks near a former train station and old hotel which closed long ago). Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4"

What a great Saturday afternoon Birthday meal. The Gammon with egg, pineapple and onion rings, plus a peppercorn sauce was very, very good and not forgetting Eddies chips which are the best in the Valleys was a real feast. With Gaynor 's Lemon cheesecake desert to finish, I was full til the following day. Well done team, we 're local and will be back en masse. Daiawn Aberglais.
