Birthday Lunch today, as usual a warm welcome from the staff, food was good.. A very enjoyable afternoon.

Telephoned at short notice. Very friendly efficient staff. My steak pie was excellent although the peas were luke warm. Would be happy to recommend.

Very friendly staff beautiful building great views fantastic food homemade reasonably priced. Nothing to dislike. Definitely would recommend and have returned a few times it is so good.

We went here for Sunday lunch the coronation weekend. Great Roast dinners 3 Beef and one vegetarian chicken pie. Beautifully cooked soft succulent beef with perfectly cooked vedgetables, a lovely way to finish our weekend in Wales. Would highly recomend. Visualizza piatti

The food here was so delicious, I had the steak and ale pie which was the nicest I’ve ever tasted the beef was so tender and the shortcrust pastry was perfect. The rest of my group really enjoyed their meals too. If you’re ever in Merthyr try this place you won’t be disappointed. P.s the staff are very friendly too :

Very disappointed with my recent visit. Long wait for food to arrive which is ok if it’s worth it. Sadly it was not. My steak was ordered med/rare but arrived very rare. I gave it a try but it was inedible very poor quality meat chewy, bland and not pleasant at all. Chips and sauce also poor. I brought this to the staffs attention but nothing was done or said. Lessons learned I will not return.

We arrived at the pub at 20:35 as it says serving food 12-9. Unbelievable they said they stopped serving. It wasn’t as if it was off the main road either. Took us 15mins from the hospital where we were visiting my father in law. As we left the pub the young girl walked back in the kitchen and laughed and said haha I got rid of them. We were already upset from visiting my desperately I’ll relative, otherwise I would have gone back in and given her a piece of my mind. SHOCKING!!!!!! Visualizza piatti
