Possibly the best Sunday lunch we have tasted absolutely stunning . We also come here regular and the mid week menu is always amazing

This restaurant was absolutely wonderful! I hadn't been in many years, but I came for lunch with friends today and it was delightful! The decor was beautiful, the food was very good with a wide selection and reasonable prices, and the staff was friendly. I would definitely come back and recommend it to others. Thank you! The service at this restaurant was exceptional, Rosie and Claire at the front of house went above and beyond. The food was outstanding, with one of the best steaks I've ever had - perfectly cooked and seasoned. They even provided complimentary shortbread biscuits for the kids. The cozy pub atmosphere and reasonable prices make this a perfect dining experience. I couldn't have asked for more. 5 stars.

The location on the outskirts of Merthyr and on the cusp of Bannau Brycheiniog. Lovely scenery and some lovely walks nearby. The premises large parking area to the side of the pub, cosy, warm interior with a decent amount of tables and a smart outdoor area. The food top quality and keenly priced. Exceptional value. The Sunday lunches, even for. Vegan, are superb. The staff can’t do enough for you. All in all a superb experience.

First visit to the Aberglais Inn and we absolutely loved it. Simple/convenient online booking system and a great welcome. Lovely friendly staff throughout in a cosy atmosphere. The food was spot on. 4 meals including a kids meal and we all loved it. Perfectly cooked Rib-eye, beautiful Lamb Shank and lovely Aberglais Chicken. Little one loved his burger too!! Previous had really nice meals here, but I don’t know whats happened.The usual pleasant atmosphere and warm welcome was not forthcoming. As for the food the garlic mushrooms were like a soup so much so that one of the party asked for a spoon. Chicken several of us had tasted unpleasant and was over cooked. We were asked if everything was ok and despite saying about the chicken nothing was done and to top it all we were overcharged at the end ! Needless to say this is our last visit here. Will not be recommending

I made a reservation for a party of 10, including 2 children, in early December for a New Year's Eve meal at 12:45. We paid a deposit in advance and pre-ordered our meals, which saved us time upon arrival. The starters were served promptly upon seating and were a perfect size, considering the generous portions of the main dishes. We enjoyed steaks, lamb, chicken, burgers, and gammon, all cooked to our liking and delicious. Surprisingly, there was no service charge added to the bill, which is often expected for larger groups. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for future large group gatherings. Thank you.

Rang up to book told fully booked . Went on line next day would allow me to book rang restaurant to make sure it was available was told to go ahead and book if it was available on system. Booked and paid £20 deposit . Rang the following day as my reservation text said booked to eat in the bar checked this was ok as not keen eating in a bar which is full of people just drinking and we would have a child with us . Told the bar is not like that everyone is eating in there. Later in day gets a text to ring them . Rang them I was told had to cancel my booking as no room for my booking in bar or restaurant there was a glitch on the system which took my booking !!! Hello I rang you numerous time to...
