"This cafe is on a slope just in front of the Duomo Church. It’s understated and the only thing that drew us in was its convenience after a long drive. The staff were friendly and unassuming. We found once we ordered, the food and drinks...came very quickly. We had the ham and mushroom pizza and the bolognaise arancini. Both were fantastic, the best we have had so far in Italy. We had many great meals in Rome, Syracuse and Positano, but this quaint little cafe was a standout. The arancini has a lot of flavour, it was crunchy, had a great balance between the meat sauce and the rice. I loved the peas in the middle. My kids had the ham and cheese arancini which they said was delicious. The pizza was amazing, I can’t tell you why it was so good, the crust was perfect but there was something that just made you keep wanting to eat this pizza more and more. We weren’t even that hungry but after this meal I just wanted another pizza. We also ordered the Ragusa focaccia which tasted very much like lasagna only the crust was kinda dry, and there wasn’t enough meat or cheese sauce. The prawn and tuna salad was ok, it was smothered in their red sauce. It was very much like a prawn cocktail (using defrosted frozen prawns) with canned tuna. Both were average. We all had drinks (wine, beer and soft drinks for 5 people) and a bowl of fries. Plus the 3 kids also had ice cream. The bill came to less than 50 Euros. Very reasonable."

Breve sosta per pausa pranzo. Siamo in quattro. Data la scelta limitata di salati, optiamo tutti per le focacce al pomodoro, discrete. Ordiniamo poi gelati di vari gusti, tutti apprezzabili. Prezzi onesti.

great combination! this caffe is best located to sit and watch how the sunset changes the colors of duomos while immersing an aperitif is my campari soda. service is cheerful and friendly and price-very reasonable.

Dopo la passeggiata al Duomo, questo è il posto perfetto per un pranzo leggero e una bevanda. Il servizio era piacevole ed efficiente. Abbiamo ordinato i bruschetti che erano eccellenti. I prezzi erano ragionevoli. Lo consiglierei.

We arrived at 2.25pm and by 2.45pm all food arrived! Staff were very quick to find a table and take order from us. The food is of good quality and reasonable priced. The breeze kept us cool at outside table even it was 35 degree....Very pleasant dining experience indeed.

È stato un momento di relax durante la nostra visita a Ragusa Ibla. Si trova nel centro storico, ai piedi della cattedrale. È un po' scomodo essere sulla strada principale, ma non ci siamo preoccupati. Il proprietario è molto gentile e cortese. Torneremo sicuramente, sarà una tappa irrinunciabile per noi.

We are from Wales and stayed in Ragusa in the first week in September. This cafe was the first place we visited and we loved it so much that we went every day. The youngsters serving were charming, funny and wanted to practise their English....I ordered a margarita cocktail and nearly got a pizza but that was my fault ! Lol ! So charming, so welcoming, and made to feel very comfortable loved it !!! Do not walk past !

ragusa has a limited number of attractions. a key is the church of San giorgio on the piazza duomo. the al borgo lies at the lower edge of its impressive but exhausting staircase to the sky this caffeine is fully exploiting its situation and has a great selection of drinks and simple bistro snacks that satisfy or revive the tourist who go to the church. it is a simple, cost-effective bar with attentive waiter, eager to practice her English, from which they watch the world, past. could be made from the food offer, but they can say that they have an efficient microshaft in the back and I would be skeptical for any description of the place, as cooked to home, ragusan chic kitchen.

Ogni volta che ero a Ibla, facevo di fermarmi qui per un drink. Ma non rimaneva mai solo un drink, in genere finivo per mangiare almeno quattro cose. Che fosse Campari o spritz o un negroni o vino bianco, quel era il mio posto preferito per sedermi, guardare la gente e lasciarli bere. Per essere sincero, ciò che rende questo posto speciale è il personale, sono incredibilmente amichevoli e cambierebbero tra l'inglese e l'italiano, a seconda se volevano parlare in entrambe le lingue. Una sera quando andai a lasciare una mancia, il vecchio signore mi fece tornare indietro quando spiegai che avevo pagato di più; quando ho detto che era per la mancia, sembrava molto grato. Uno dei giovani dipende...
