"Ok guys since this is the first review in English you know this is of the beaten path as far as a restaurant for an English speaking visitor or tourist goes, but if you are adventurous you shall be well served is our motto as...a family and as far as food goes. So first of all if you navigation system shows you are off roading and you feel you are going into a forest you are in he right place. The restaurant has signs all through you just need to believe them. Anyway we parked and walked up and were seated in one of the rooms by a window table. Place was very full with locals. This had been recommended to us as a fish place so we thought they served only fish. Our waitress pleasant as they come spoke no English but she finally after some convincing got us an English menu for the regular dishes but for the specials which I was very interested in we got her colleague who took over even though she had to neglect her customers and leave them waiting. We finally settled on a Sangiovese from Italy which was awesome. We started with a tomato soup for my year old son but the three of us hare everything and the spinach and cheese balls. The soup was good but the cheese and spinach balls awesomemest spinAt knodel The main course was freSh trout grilled with potatoes for my soul mate it was coming of the bone in a jiffy and was done perfectly. My son had the kids veal cutlets with Pom frittes which he loved. Now for the masterpiece the venison with a mushroom sauce cooked medium melting in one's mouth the softest meat I ever had as tender as it gets it came with some dry noodles with some nuts in it will edit to give you german names it is on my other camera with picture of the menu. What a lovely meal. The desserts were very nice but we had no space. Very nice meal and of the beaten path experience. Loved it place was full of locals which is always a good sign, place is closed Wednesday and Thursday."

Beautiful settings with great views of the mountains. It feels quite remote. Book as the place is really popular. The food is typical of the region, big, heavy and tasty plates served with smiling kindness. The outdoor area is great, the restaurant itself is very...cosy

I just wanted to take a drink with our daughter and pay, and ask if we could, said the waiting personal stormy mad that the restaurant was overbooked, while three quarters of the restaurants were empty with reserved tables. cannot comment on the food. due to the obvious, so give a bad evaluation. would not come back or recommend.

Just wanted to grab a drink with our daughter and pay up, and on asking if we could, the waiting staff briskly sourly stated that the restaurant was overbooked whilst three quarters of the restaurant was empty with reserved tables. Can’t comment about the food...due to the obvious, thus giving a poor rating. Wouldn’t return or recommend

with some local colleagues to eat, we decided to go with the specificities of the house. starting with bloodworm and potato salad washed with the local beer we then on bark and swirl, ass carved and venison (locally shot by the owner apparently). it was all good if a little hard to be what the local style seems. overall, a good place seems to be for traditional food and in daylight probably in an attractive location halfway a hill along a narrow road.

Dining with some local colleagues we decided to go with the specialities of the house. Starting with blood sausage and potato salad washed down with the local beer we then moved onto beef and onions, Wiener schnitzel and venison locally shot by the owner apparently....It was all good if a little heavy which seems to be the local style. Overall seems to be a good place for traditional food and in daylight probably set in an attractive location half way up a hill along a narrow road

Went to Aibl on a Saturday evening. Reservations are needed as the place is popular and thus packed. From the just follow the signs to the restaurant. There is enough parking space available. Typical Bavarian ambiance and menu. I took the hirschvanison ragout and...it was just wonderful. Really tender chuncks of lean succulent meat. The sauce was great as well as the red cabbage. Knödels are home made and wonderful. In short this was probably the best hirsch ragout I ever had. Just a restaurant you will remember for many years

Aussage an anderer Stelle in 2012 wieder eröffnet, in eher typischen bayrischen Ambiente: Holztafeldecke, orange braune Töne dominieren, Dazu Mobiliar in Eiche. Sauber. Guter Service der freundlichen Bedienung. Was uns noch fehlte?

"It was one of the best restaurant experiences in my life! At the beginning we were greeted very pleasantly and warmly by Theresa. She was there to help us throughout the evening with advice, assistance, information and really delicious drinks!! We each had a 5 course surprise menu. Intolerances and eating habits have already been clarified in advance! Otherwise it was an evening full of surprising dishes, which were incredibly tasty and well thought out. The restaurant works on the nose-to-tail principle and is one of the most sustainable there is. All food is sourced fresh and seasonal from the region and grown. Nothing is thrown away here and everything is processed. And the taste and quality are incomparably phenomenal! For each course we were told exactly what was on our plate, not only by the wonderful Theresa, but also by one of the owners personally. Dear Manuel also visited us at the table to explain to us exactly what we were eating! Towards the end, both owners, Manuel and Eli, were at our table and asked if we had any questions and we had a really great technical discussion! Sustainability, friendliness, good humor, quality, an incredibly beautiful ambience and so much more make this restaurant one of the best I've ever been to! For anyone traveling in Bavaria, this is the best choice for a restaurant!!! Dietary restrictions: Everything is taken care of! Every restriction and intolerance is taken into account and individually adapted!"
