We call here every time we're in Betws y Coed. Great food, great service and super friendly staff. Would highly recommend the breakfast.

snuck early when there are still visitor numbers. why is everything in this part of wales to close either early and/or expensive. cakes and coffee cuts, but varied sitting area.

A visit to Betwys would not be complete without visiting The Alpine Coffee Shop. The surroundings are simply spectacular and the staff are really helpful and always happy to suggest new things to try. The Cannoli were absolutely delicious and the espresso went well together!

We always visit the Alpine Coffee shop, for birthdays and special occasions. Never have to wait more than minutes during busy periods. Food always excellent. Plenty of different options. Staff always helpful and lovely. Now...I have eaten around the world from street vendors to...fine dining. And I mean personal chef fine dining. So now that we are awakening from years of isolated covid.....adjust your expectations; cut the saff some slack; and stop being entitles bores.

Well it has to be said that the sign outside that boasts ‘COME IN AND TRY THE WORST AFTERNOON TEA ONE ANGRY MAN ON TRIP ADVISOR HAD IN HIS LIFE ‘ is right !!! it is absolutely the worst cream tea: large , dry,...mass produced scones , cheap jam and then aerosol cream !! Not even a decent dollop of lovely thick cream to help you digest the cardboard scone …. Save your money it really is dreadful .. rather than them boast and wear the poor rating as a ‘badge of honour ‘ , why don’t they do something about it and make some changes?? Listen to all your customers not only those that leave good reviews

stay in the self-catering in betws y coed for a long weekend in the heart and were disappointed by the coffee shop menu. we had done our research and although this was a perfect place for the breakfast every day (to avoid cooking unfortunately, although there...is an extensive menu that we asked the personal and were told there would be "no variations" so if she wanted to make the half of the content of the whole day breakfast she had to buy the whole! the first coffee we had was not very nice, as the stagnated. pleasant, that happens so tries again only for coffee the next day and it was much more beautiful. constantly busy about the washing so clear her business model works for her, but we...

Sadly we have to agree with Pipyb and others who have placed a negative review for this cafe. If you have high expectations or enjoy quality meals at home as we do, you will be very disappointed by what is being served here. We could...see how poor the plates were when we were presented with our breakfast, so requested an immediate full refund of the payment we made at the time of ordering. We went across to the Royal Oak and ordered similar meals and we were served two delicious plates of food plus coffee by a lovely waitress in very pleasant, comfortable surroundings for the same price. We are reluctant to leave a negative review, particularly in these times, when the hospitality industry...

before the covid was our visit to the caffe. we recommended it to everyone. unfortunately it is now a s streamlined menu and no specials. almost all gluten-free options have gone now, so also have the more interesting menu choices, which means that the menu is boring and the same as any other caffe. what we tasted differently. I'm not sure if the cooking oil has changed, but the chips that used to be the best in the opposite, I didn't eat. we said that they no longer make the salat wrapped burger. another small thing is worth mentioning that they have moved to individual bags in view of the sustainability sethos of condiment bottles. possibly the worse part after drinking a pot of tea and a...

As locals we like to visit betws on quiet days to enjoy what is on our doorstep, it was our first time in the alpine cafe though and we were tempted in with the chalk board starting trip advisor ‘worst afternoon tea ever’ so I...was like ‘I’m going in’!
