The best fish and chip shop in Knaresborough by a country mile. The fish is fresh and beautifully battered and it’s such a friendly place too

Bought today,the food was very cold,worse fish and chips we have had from there,will give them one more try as this could have been a one off.Will request the frier to make sure that they hot and not luke warm.

Must say very disappointed chips soggy and batter on fish far to thick and not cooked enough. The staff sre very pleasant but your going to have to step up if you want repeat customers. Previous owners were amazing bring back there standards.

I’m a regular visitor to Aragon. The chips are always tasty and scraps always available. I tried the homemade spring rolls with sweet chilli sauce today which were absolutely delicious, very impressed and would like to see some other Asian dishes on the menu for something different.

First time visiting Aragon Fisheries, our first thoughts were, wow the customer service is amazing! Very friendly owners. All cooked beautifully, we had fish n chips , battered sausage, curry sauce and mushy peas. Fish was large n golden, crispy and fish moist, v tasty. Big fat chips, crispy on outside, soft potato inside. Every thing was perfect and the portions were very generous. Staff very friendly, thank you

We had fish and chips from Aragon Fisheries on Friday evening 14/03/2020, a very unlucky day its said, but not for us, the we had the pleasure of the usual fabulous large portions of fish and chips, which as always were mouth wateringly good, a very welcome treat for both my wife , myself, and our granddaughter.

For many years and after many changes of owners, we have always considered Aragon Fisheries to be the very best in Knaresborough, however after visiting this evening 06/08/21, sadly we no longer consider it to be the best. The chips that were of any reasonable size, were very dry, the rest of the chips were very small, and hard, and sad to say crunchy, more like scraps. The fish batter was nothing like it used to be, it was flat, not in any way crisp, as the fish batter always used to be used to be. While we fully accept that potatoes at this time of year are not the best for making chips, the chips today were by far the worst we have had in Knaresborough in many years. What a shame the qual...
