Four of us visited on a slightly damp Wednesday in May. We sat right down by the river and enjoyed tea and cake. Just the job.

Sitting on the terrace in the mid-morning sunshine on a Sunday - views of the river, sounds of the birds, dappled shadows - heaven.

Saw this whilst boating on the river so went to find it. We were not disappointed. Excellent food with a great river view. And very reasonable, will be back

We visited this tea shop and gallery at the end of June. The service was friendly and polite, the cheesecake was gorgeous, coffee perfect and all at very reasonable prices. Some of the art was a bit iffy but then again that's very subjective. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful location on the river, near the bridge in Confolens. Little tables tucked away beneath the trees and also seating inside amongst the artwork on display. Beautiful coffee and cake and nice staff. For my purse, almost €20, for cake and coffee was too much, but maybe OK for others it's OK. But I really enjoyed it.

What a beautiful setting this lovely cafe/chambre d'hote has.It is situated in Confolens by the river vienne and has a lovely view of the old bridge.The gardens and terrace are so pretty and it is a credit to the English owners.The coffee is excellent and when we were there,there were also alot of French eating and drinking.Excellent.

We were looking for somewhere to have a midday snack because we were having guests over for an evening meal and didn't want to 'overeat' at lunchtime. The owner greeted us at the door as we passed. He was opening for the afternoon. We went in to find such a lovely place. We were invited to explore the terrace and found that it was situated by the river. We had coffee and a gorgeous piece of carrot cake. The coffee was great too. Such a lovely relaxed time.

We've been coming to Confolens for 6 years now and I've always struggled to find a decent lunch venue but that's now in the past. This venue is not only stunning for the views when dining outside its food and service is excellent. The food is cooked with love and the setting is just gorgeous.Check out the tea selection also, amazing array of teas for every taste. The art is always changing inside and there is always something new to see. Highly recommended.

I left a five-star rating earlier for this fabulous place, but as soon as they opened, I think it is very much that Mary and Nick have gone from strength to strength in every respect. The ambience is excellent, the service is personal and well maintained while not intrusive. The wide range of spectacular teas and coffee is in the second to none and everywhere is immaculately clean and beautifully artistic, a real pleasure just to be there. But what about the food you ask? Well, I left the best until last, as the food is so good and consistent.
