"Been here 3 times now. First time was excellent. Love the decor, sublime location, nice and airy, decent menu. A bit overpriced cheapest meal is £8 most are £10 and upwards. Cocktails £6 8. Second and third time I came here made me decide I will only drink here from now on and only on special occasions. Service was non existent second time around we were seated and abandoned. I had to order at the bar, and pay at the bar in the end too. Third time was the last nail in the coffin. One of the poorest attempts at my favourite cocktail I have ever been subjected to I had to take it back to the bar for adjustment and waited about 10 minutes for the bartenders attention. Our glasses were empty throughout our meal no offer of replacements despite 3 waitresses clearly clocking them. We were asked to change one of our food orders after an age of waiting. Food came before the cutlery. No check up, and then again, I had to go and track down the waitress to pay. No justification in these prices. Food and decor good, service at the bar and at the tables shocking. AVOID ON A BUSY SATURDAY AFTERNOON AT ALL COST!"

Here for a cuppa. Nice views, but horrible coffee, VERY uncomfortable seats and they've let a dog in. Not a guide dog. Bizarre. Shame as it could be really nice here.

Solid 7.2 rating on the food. Nice staff, lovely chill hangout area I would go with a group of mates. Food was decent, however menu limited. Great place for a fun area to chill.

Nice place by the beach with beautiful views. Food was nice and well presented. Cocktails unfortunately a bit of a let down. It was a little bit too loud for me. We sat close to the window, at the end of the main room. Unfortunately it was still pretty bad.

So we ended up here on a night out at the end of a hen night. It was okay, there's loads of seating and the views are very nice especially at night! However I wasn't a fan of the music and I thought that the drinks were overpriced and at times looked watered down which was annoying. I would like to go back here in the daytime though to taste the food. Visualizza piatti

Had a great time at this lovely located restaurant. Sea views from most of the tables and nice decors as well. I had spicy chicken wings and chilli fries and they were all very good. I also got there when happy hours started which made me a happy girl after two well made comopolitans. Food was fresh and tasty and the nice weather was a beautiful and rare touch.

This is one of my favourite restaurants/lounges to take visitors. As Bournemouth is known for its beach, Aruba Bar is known for its beautiful view over the sea. I have been here twice for food and several times for drinks. The cocktails never disappoint. Food wise, my favourite dish is the Cornish Mussels. The Paella was ok, a little lacking taste; nonetheless you're sure to get your money worth with the generous portions!

A great location, just disappointing inside. Being so close to the beach as you can imagine this place was super busy. After climbing the many stairs to get inside and greeted by a packed bar, it's not the greatest feeling. Next to find a table to sit down, which proved rather difficult. Fortunately someone was leaving, so managed to sit down (yay a seat full and sand and a sticky, uncleaned table). Only had one drink here as it wasn't the nicest place. But it's worth coming upstairs to see the great views of the beach and pier. Visualizza piatti

The restaurant has a cool vibe with nice indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was friendly but not attentive at all. The waitress spent most of her time socializing rather than tending to the tables. The Caribbean Jerk chicken was pretty good with a sizable portion, but not very spicey. The surf and turf was not worth the money. The steak was overcooked and tough, and the prawns were small and overfried. Overall, the restaurant is in a great location and still a nice place to relax if you are in the area. I would recommend coming here for drinks, but maybe dining elsewhere.

We were recommended to try this spot because of drinks and view. We were pretty excited. We tried. Our group of four had an amazing time in town earlier. The owner of a local place suggested Hot Rocks. The staff was so inattentive and disinterested that the bar staff literally rolled their eyes when we inquired about sitting in their bar at one of the ten open tables in the bar. They were very busy talking to one another. We walked over to the table and waited a bit but no one attended to us do we left never to be back. We went next door and spent a few hundred pounds at Harry Ramsden and had a great time. Don't bother with Aruba, it's not worth your time.

"We had called-here for drinks during a previous visit to Bournemouth. We were impressed with the wine we drank, and the food that we saw served to other customers. So, today was the realisation of a promise that we made-to-ourselves to revisit and, this time, dine! We were a few-minutes early for our 19:30 reservation having allowed too-much time for our half-a-mile walk from our hotel. The restaurant was not busy, and there were scant customers during our 2½ hour stay. There was only one, very pleasant, member of staff in the bar/dining area. We had assumed he was the Manager, and he did everything: menus, drinks, food orders, food service, and payment. He did this pleasantly with good humour, plus impressive efficiency and knowledge. The food here is principally ‘Sharing Boards’ but also available were smaller (snack) servings of Artisan Cheese and Charcuterie and other “Nibbles”. We chose an ‘Ultimate Board’ (intended for two people sharing and costing £36.95 in total). Within this price you select four types of charcuterie plus four types of cheese to complete the board. Drinks: we started with a 175ml glass of “Martin Codax Albariño” for each of us. The extensive and impressive wine list offers a good selection available by the 175 or 250ml glass: 6 white wines, 3 rosé wines, 9 red wines, 3 sparkling wines and 9 aperitif/digestif wines. The Albariño was very much enjoyed, whist we decided which bottle of wine we would have with our meal. After much thought we chose a bottle of Bin 31 ‘Laibach (Sur Lie) Stellenbosch’; a white wine from what is a great wine-producing region in South Africa. This was superbly delicate and gently flavoured; with the very slight effervescence from the ‘Sur Lie’ fermentation method (fermentation on the lees). We know this method well from Sur Lie Muscadet wines, from the Sèvre-et-Maine region in France. With our wine chosen, we concentrated on the charcuterie and fromage that we would like with our ‘Ultimate Board’. There was much debate between us, but eventually: Our choices of charcuterie were: Salami Milano: with a perfumed scent that was such a delight. Pâté: quite fine but rich and flavoursome. Venison Salami: surprising and just superb. Smoked Pancetta: we loved this delicately smoked pork belly which was served in the thinnest slices imaginable. The cheese was far more difficult to choose: A Cheddar was a no-brainer and it was good; however we have ‘Vintage’ Cheddar at home (aged for 36-60 months); so the Cheddar here was a bit tame for our tastes. Oak Smoked Lincolnshire Poacher: this was very disappointing as half of the piece was totally inedible rind, and the rest was almost impossible to cut with the cheese-knife provided. I brought this to the attention of the Manager this was exchanged with more of the Cheddar. Northern Blue: good and creamy and appreciably tangy. We had another cheese which was firm and good eating, but we cannot recall it’s name (that’s our fail then). To be honest, and sadly, we found the cheese to be not anywhere as good as the charcuterie, we like mostly hard, or at least firm cheese, with strong flavours. Brie, Camembert and other soft cheeses rarely feature at our home (the somewhat explains our choices). The board was loaded with extra ingredients: a good selection of salad and fruit: cream cheese stuffed cherry tomatoes, lovely crunchy astringent cornichon, fresh grapes and pitted olives. There was also a pot of hummus, onion relish, cheese crackers, and a basket of bread (the latter of which we ordered a second). The meal was still a very favourable experience; made better by the extra cornichon provided. Just because I said how much I loved the texture and flavour of these wonderful ‘little gherkins’. After our board we were quite replete and there was no-way we could have managed a dessert, but an extra glass of Viognier for my Partner, and a wonderful 10-year-old Tawny Port for myself, finished-off the meal splendidly."

"WOW! What can we say!? Chris Katie catered lunch at our beautiful outdoor wedding at Moonacre, Sturminster Marshall. They had a fantastic layout and lots of menu options available several different burgers, wieners fries! They absolutely smashed the service and excelled at feeding a few more than expected too! They made us a gorgeous little personalised menu also which we thought was such a nice touch! Everyone couldn’t stop talking about how amazing their food was even those who would never normally consider vegan options were blown away at how great everything tasted! They managed to positively influence even the most stubborn meat eaters of our guests to realise that they don’t need to miss out on flavour when choosing vegan options! That’s a huge win in our eyes! A couple of people even said it was the first ever vegan food they’d tried and they couldn’t get over how amazing it was! We told our guests about the Mighty Wieners restaurant in Bournemouth and will be bringing people back for more as they couldn’t wait to try more options! The day was such a huge success and Chris Katie did such an incredible job! We can’t recommend them enough, for food at their restaurant and wedding events catering! Vegetarian options: Excellent vegetarian and vegan options! Dietary restrictions: Served gluten free options! Kid friendliness: Excellent service friendly, warm and when above and beyond! Wheelchair accessibility: Perfect for full accessibility!"
