"Booked this restaurant as we were taking a friend to Albi and thought a view of the cathedral would be nice. Gorgeous little restaurant with bags of character and ambiance. If you are eating on the terrace or 'upstairs' I insist you visit the downstairs dining area (or the pretext of using the loo). Dinner was excellent! Cheese choux puffs were as light as clouds. Sandine and boulgour amuse bouche was lovely. Foie gras was great (1st time I've had it cooked rather than as a pâté) crab risotto rolls (served cold) were tasty.Lamb shoulder served on ribbons of courgette and aubergine was good. White fish on a bed of risotto was incredible. Gorgeous mint sorbet... And finally pistachio tart with raspberry, mango ravioli and chocolate bomb... All were devoured!!! Even if not by the person who ordered it ;) definitely recommend a visit, real shame there were only 5 diners :("

Excellent repas, le sans faute, de l'entrée au dessert, comme on aimerait en voir plus souvent. Accueil chaleureux et ambiance albigeoise de mise : Murs et voûte en briques rouges. La recette idéale pour passer un excellent moment.

Wij maakten gebruik van het 3-gangen menu. Beide voor- en hoofdgerechten waren uitstekend. Net even anders dan de standaard Franse bereidingswijze. Veel finesse in een door maar 1 man gerunde keuken. Goede kazen als nagerecht. Zeker aan te bevelen en voor een schappelijke prijs.

Met slechts plaats voor 18 couverts snel vol, hij aan de kachel, zij bedient. Een prima stel, professioneel en op hoog niveau. Leuke kaart met mooie gerechten. Met veel zorg bereid en vriendelijk en vakkundig geserveerd. Een ruime keuze aan mooie en redelijk geprijsde wijnen. Een aanrader, maar absoluut eerst reserveren.

Nous avons été heureux. Une cuisine inventive, généreuse. On a adoré les plats proposés. La cuisine est plus créatives que d'autres restaurants de la ville. Vraiment je ne comprends pas pourquoi ce restaurant n'a pas d'assiette au Michelin. On retiendra les association crabe pistache et foi gras melon qui nous on enchante. Notre meilleur repas sur Albi. Nous étions un groupe le menu déjà choisi : rouleau du printemps au crabe nous a décu mais l'agneau confit au citron avec feuilleté de patate douce et courgette, tomates confites excellent et ce dessert ravioli à la mangue et quenelle aux fruits de la passion et pina colada d'un raffinement et goût délectable. Chef proprio et madame en salle qui donnent 100% en qualité . Hautement recommandé même si pour un groupe en sous sol c'était très bruyant et trop d'écho.

Le cadre, l'accueil, le service...Tout y est !On a à faire à des connaisseurs, tant au niveau service que des mets proposés.Les plats sont simples mais très bons, les saveurs et surtout les cuissons(poisson et viande) sont maitrisés !Tout est fait maison, ça se reconnait !Si je devais ajouter un bémol : le choix des menus est un peu restreint. Les légumes accompagnants bien que très bien mis en valeur (asperges et pois) sont trop souvent présent, j'aurais aimé plus de variété de légumes de saison.8/10

"Our second night in Albi and two restaurants we wanted to visit in the evening were closed. We decided to venture to a small local Vietnamese restaurant that received only 11 reviews but all very good and from French visitors. We arrived early and we're the only customers but received a friendly greeting in French with little English but a willingness to work with our very limited language skill. We decided on the fixed price menu at 17Euros a person. My husband had the shrimp salad, the beef with onions and peppers with rice all very fresh tasting and the salad had wonderful and crunchy ingredients in a lightly creamed dressing. I chose the beef and nem...a lovely dish with ginger spiced noodle, small slices of perfectly tender beef and two small fried rolls stuffed with finely shredded veggies and meat. My main dish was the shrimp (crevettes) Thailandaise a most delicious combination of crisp onion, cabbage, and a fantastic spiced cream sauce. I was told it was spicy but without the final dash of hot sauce it had just the right amount of zip. Both of us had the banana flambé to finish. This was just the right amount of food...not so much food that it could be shared. The cost including a lovely bottle of Gaillac Rouge was about 47 Euros. We feel this was a wonderful and very pleasant dinner and well worth the price. Thanks again to Evean our waitress and her parents the chefs!"
