"We're visiting Liverpool for my birthday and staying across the road from the taverna, so it made sense to pop in.When we arrived we were warmly greeted by the proprietors. I think I can say that it was the nicest reception we've ever had in a restaurant in England! That really made us feel good about the evening.We ended both having three-course meals (even though we'd gone looking for something light). The food was excellent ... all of it. I had the kleftico lamb (the main reason for choosing the restaurant). It was excellent. In particular, the accompaniments were good too (the roast potatoes were delightfully crunchy). My wife had the chicken a la grek (chicken in a creme and Ouzo sauce) and she enjoyed that too.The ambiance was excellent and the food delightful. If you throw in the friendly staff, it was an exceptional night. I agree with most of the other reviewers. This is a great restaurant."

my wife and I visited on our last trip to liverpool and were not disappointed. fantastic Greek tavern. large menu, friendly atmosphere and all very good priced. we will definitely be back at our next visit to liverpool.

Absolutely gorgeous food and tremendous, friendly service to go with it. A lovely little authentic Greek restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. Staff were attentive and friendly with a good, playful sense of humour. Would definitely recommend!

This restaurant is beautiful and the food is amazing. They serve original Greek beer and the waitress was fantastic. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. They went above and beyond for us. Thank you so much for the wonderful dining experience and great service.

We've been meaning to try this place for a while and when they started doing take out collection during lockdown we finally got round to it. They did not disappoint. The food is fantastic quality, even when packaged up for take-away you can tell you are eating top quality restaurant food. The garlic mushrooms and meatballs are particularly fantastic and the portions are very generous. Service was very friendly when I went in to collect the food. We will definitely be returning here.

On a quest for some authentic Greek cuisine while on a mini-break with our family, we called up Bacchus Greek Taverna. From the onset, booking a table to arrival and greeting, the service and food were stellar! Saganaki was delicious and crisp and everything we ordered was spot on. Can see ourselves making a more frequent trip to this lovely hidden gem. Should add that everyone in our party was pleased with their food... ages 5 to 40, and 2 food allergies, yet we still had plenty to choose from. Highly recommend!
