"I should note that I have not dined in at Bad Egg before. Instead, my friends and I decided to order take-out through Deliveroo. Despite this unconventional choice, we still had the opportunity to try their food, so it still counts, right? I ordered the Cheeseburger Hash and a Dulce de Leche milkshake, while my friends tried a variety of dishes including the Bad Egg Burger, Korean Pulled Pork Burger, Chilaquiles, Chicken and Anchovy Salad, Fried Chicken Burger, and the Cheeseburger. Essentially, we tried almost 90% of the menu. My Cheeseburger Hash was a generous portion filled with pickles, mustard, burger pieces, and topped with cheese and a fried egg. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but it was too much for me to finish on my own, so my friends helped out. Overall, we had a great experience."

Bad Egg is no Smokehouse, and I must apologise to all those other Rankin enthusiasts in the I Heart Neil club, but I leave a little disappointed. I love eggs and I love Rankin, but I don’t love Bad Egg

A popular brunch spot diner near Barbican. Definitely worth a visit for a weekend brunch with friends. Three courses, unlimited booze and okay service for £30. It doesn't blow your mind, but it's good. Pulled porked, beans, kimchi and sourdough would be my number 1 recommendation.

I also really enjoyed the rice krispie ice cream sandwich with salted caramel ice cream and caramel sauce. I shared it with my friend because we were both full, but it was so delicious that I probably could have eaten the entire thing. It may be too sweet for some people, but I didn't mind. This was a tasty treat after visiting Alcoholic Architecture, courtesy of Bompass and.

The food is very enjoyable but similar to other places in London such as John Salt, Spuntino or maybe even Meat Liquor, without a doubt formidable company. But not enough really stood out to distinguish Bad Egg from its brothers and sisters. I do love the fact that it exists, but with all taken into account I much rather continue frequenting Smokehouse, but maybe that is just me. Visualizza piatti

In my opinion, brunch is perhaps the best meal of the day, and the increasing number of restaurants that offer a brunch menu reinforces this belief. One of the first to fully embrace the concept of a bottomless brunch is Bad Egg in Moorgate. It is consistently listed as one of the best brunch spots in London, so I couldn't pass up the chance to visit for a friend's birthday celebration.

Before we get started, let me just make something very clear. Bad Egg is not an ‘egg concept’ restaurant. It may have egg in its name and a section dedicated to eggs, but it’s a diner. And a very good one at that! The latest restaurant from chef Neil Rankin – he of Pitt Cue Co, John Salt and Princess of Shoreditch. I’ve been to all of those and loved them, so I knew Bad Egg would be a good ‘un.

Korean Pork Tacos Chaat Masala Hash House Burger Ironically, egg was not added onto every dishes that was ordered. So no Korean chicken wings and I still wanted some Korean flavour so came the Korean pork tacos which was a missed match of pulled pork and kimchi, probably not even made in house. Whoever fried the egg on our chaat masala hash, you made the egg looked very lifeless and the yolk was barely there as much as it was enjoyable with a crunch from the peanuts and puffed rice. The house burger was good, with bone marrow added to the juicy patty and served pink. The sauce on it somehow reminds me of the burger sauce you get at late night kebabs shop. Visualizza piatti

Bad Egg opened just before Christmas last year and is the latest venture from Scottish barbecue guru Neil Rankin, former head chef of Pitt Cue and John Salt. It is an all-day diner with a hipster bent (but ultimately probably aimed at City boys) – the menu is mostly composed of “dirty” meat dishes with a vague Korean theme (well, at least kimchi appears quite frequently on the menu). The menu is long and muddled: sub-genres are burgers, ribs, eggy things and (strangely) tacos; pricing is reasonable with the most expensive dish at £11. The set up is you would expect – they have the requisite craft beers on hand (from Beavertown, Fourpure and Camden breweries), the decor is...read more

I've harped on about The Good Egg a great deal recently, so it's only fair that I give Bad Egg a shout-out too; not that I need an excuse. Note: I didn't say eggs-cuse. One down. Neil Rankin got everyone's attention as Head Chef at Pitt Cue Co., before teaming up with Noble Inns to launch the outstanding Smokehouse in Islington; a second branch in Chiswick is imminent. Just before Christmas, he opened up Bad Egg in Moorgate, an area full of uninspiring chains....Bad Egg's menu has its fair share of Shakshuka, Huevos Rancheros and Hash showcasing the Arlington White Eggs (from Cackleberry Farm in the Cotswolds), but there's also all manner of Tacos, Fried Pork Belly Ribs and Burgers to...read...

"I was super excited to come to this restaurant as someone friends recommended it to us before and today we went to a friends birthday. I was extremely disappointed because my expectations were really high specially when the restaurant has 4.9 stars. The staff definitely needs some training as the service we received was shocking. First we were waiting for glasses to drink our sangria for a good ten minutes, then we ordered started and main and we were missing one of the starters we then said that it was fine because the lady that brought the starters to us insinuated it was our fault and stated she only had one in the ticket even thought the other guy who took the order double checked it. Then it was time for the mains everything came out apart for our food which he said was coming in a few minutes, we received our food after 45 minutes not only that but no one came to apologise to us and they didn’t even realised we were missing food. Which makes me think they were only focusing on cleaning and closing instead of taken care of the only customers in the restaurant. When my other friends were eating some people came and at that point we were told not to laugh for no reason. They got their food first so we were definitely forgotten and highlighted it to the guy. He was joking around and we didn’t even get a proper apology. The lady there was really rude and was very clear to all of us that she didn’t want to be there and that was really off putting. I don’t recommend this restaurant at all unless you want to be treated horribly."
