"Visited Everest Dine with my sister when we were staying in Hinckley for a few days. We were impressed right from the off with the friendly welcome and clean, fresh appearance of the restaurant. Linen serviettes and fresh flowers added plus points to our first impressions. Reasonably priced drinks were served quickly and the proprietor took time to explain the Nepalese dishes on the menu and make recommendations for our meal. We were keen to try typical Nepalese dishes although there is plenty of more standard Indian fare on the menu too. After popadoms, which were served with 5 different and very fresh salads and pickles, we started with Chicken Momo (dumplings), which were very tasty, but the star of the show was the Nepali Choyla, a dish of deliciously spiced lamb morsels on a bed of crispy rice we could easily have gone on eating it all night! Our main dishes were Machha Modi Khola, a tomato and coriander rich fish dish, and Chicken Nepal a creamy korma type dish with the addition of mango which was coconutty and delicious. We accompanied these with vegetable rice packed with finely chopped fresh vegetables including cauliflower, peas, carrots, coriander and sweetcorn and a very flaky paratha. We really wish we lived closer and would definitely make the effort to call here again if even remotely in the vicinity."

"The food was amazing, apart from last time we visited we got told that if we informed them ahead that there would be more Vegan options for my party. I rung and booked 8 days in advance and when we turned up had one vegan option for a starter and main, which was the same when we didn't inform. The people serving the food was also great, yet the main front of house lacked the welcome touch. We was a large party and wanted an itemise bill, after requesting one, we got quite a bit of attitude and they really need a system that would give them that level of detail, so the party can split the bill correctly. I live down the road from the restaurant and always used this place as a treat and for special meals, not any longer, front of house needs work from an ownership and managerial level"

"Visitors to stoney Stanton this pub advertises food on the exterior and interior of the pub but they don’t sell food!!!! WTF! Live band was good hence the 3 stars) but for gods sake it isn’t difficult to update your website WE HAVEN’T SOLD FOOD SINCE COVID!!!"

"We've been regular customers of Ponchinellos for 30 years but recently we've found it impossible to place an order by phone. You're now met with a recorded message from a nice Italian lady who says your call is in a queue but eventually you are directed to voicemail every single time. When you leave a message (we've left 3 in three weeks no response is received. We tried leaving an order and asked for a call back nothing. So today we thought we'd try again. We called six times between 12.30 and 4.00pm once again going through the answer phone rigmarole. We therefore decided to call in to place our order. We were told they were fully booked how do people book nowadays? It can't be by phone. My wife asked how we should order in future only for the manager (owner? to be extremely rude to my wife and unbelievably arrogant in refusing to answer because he was too busy making dough. Shame on you Ponchinellos, if someone asks a polite and perfectly reasonable question at least be professional and courteous enough to help."
