"Came in on a busy Sunday. No word from any staff. Had a beef and lamb roast for £18 each. More fat than meat on both plates. Couldn’t cut broccoli because it was raw and so was the rest of the veg. Pulled a massive cinnamon stick out of my solid red cabbage. Absolutely terrible. Had to go and eat elsewhere because we had to leave so much of the food."

Amazing pub with fantastic food. Beef lasagne my favourite. Highly recommend if you find a table.

Didn't eat so can't rate food, but this pub has a wide selection of beers and a great atmosphere. Perfect place for a pint with your mates.

Quirky old pub with very chilled and comfortable atmosphere. Food is all home cooked and absolutely delicious. Fish pie to die for as was the Lamb Shoulder. Would highly recommend and will certainly be returning. Visualizza piatti

I'm glad to see that this excellent establishment hasn't changed too much after the takeover of Jennings. Still serving great pub food and a selection of good ales. Can't say the same for some of their competitors in Keswick.

Absolutely banging food, six of us piled in quite late in the evening after a day of mountain climbing, quickly cleared us a table and served us nice and quickly, food was top notch, particularly the pies, cheers The Bank Tavern

Not good at all, Frozen Chips, Frozen Veg, Frozen Everything, not hot and certainly not homecooked, Veg was just about warm and watery, chips were pale and just about cooked, and very expensive for what you get, nearly £50 for 2 drinks and two meals Visualizza piatti

I have been here a few times. A good real ale destination. On this visit a customer accused Ic and Flic of being Gordon the Gopher ...luckily the barman knew Flat Eric and put them straight.We had an excellent pint each of Great Corby Blonde. Good pub and like most in the area it does lots of pub food. Boss liked the wine.

Fantastic choice of hot food and Sunday roast is the best we've ever had...been back twice more and had other food again excellent..the staff were amazing..Great atmosphere and brilliant friendly service.
