"What a difference a couple of days can make! The food was just as delicious as during our first visit, but the service was a different story. It's been a long time since we've encountered such a long list of service issues, from the moment we arrived right through to the difficulties we faced when it came time to pay the bill—it was truly appalling. Our friends even wondered why we had chosen Balloch House for this dining experience, despite the high quality of the food."

"We popped in for lunch after driving down from Fort William on a Friday. The place was quite busy,with no booths available so we took one of the centre tables, but the very MINUTE another guest left she moved us to a booth by the...window. The first menu we were handed was the lunch menu, which offers 3 courses for £8. But being from the Fort where there are 3 TERRIBLE chinese restaurant we asked or the full alacarte. I ordered salt pepper chicken wings for a starter, and the Seafood combo, and his fine self ordered the oriental chicken noodle soup and a beef curry withh fried riice. My wings came and the portions were so large I shared with him! He throughly enjoyed his soup woth the oriental egg noodles an got some wings as a bonus-lol!Shortly after the waitress advised me that the kitchen was out of scallops for my combo, but offered me extra others in it which was AMAZING. It came out with a surplus of big fat juicy prawns, squid and mussels in a sesame sauce garnished with an edible rice flower truly outstanding! His beef curry was devine also, the onions in it were thick and sweet, and the curry sauce was just spicy enough with a light cinnamon undertone.Needless to say, we both hit the clean plate club and had NO room for desert! YUM YUM YUM! PS I used to live not far from this restaurant and their take-aways are just as good as their sit downs Always a treat to visit here!"

"We really enjoyed this restaurant, one of the most beautiful spots in Loch Lomond. Although the separate vegan menu was no longer available (we had visited during COVID), there were several vegan options clearly marked on the main menu. We started with a delicious tomato salad and opted for a shepherd’s pie made with lentils for our main course. Both dishes were excellent, but we were truly amazed by the chocolate caramel brownie dessert — it was absolutely delicious!"

"This restaurant experience was absolutely terrible. I am incredibly disappointed to have to leave this review, but I was truly appalled by the poor service. Despite booking a table for my family a few hours in advance, we were seated near a broken child's play area. The table was dirty, sticky, and covered in food and drink marks. The staff seemed to have no care or pride in their work. When our food arrived, there were items missing from our starters and mains. The service was slow and unapologetic, with no offer of a discount for the missing items. The food itself was tasteless and of poor quality. The portion sizes were questionable, with my husband receiving a comically small bowl of soup. Overall, this dining experience was disappointing and we will not be returning. The restaurant needs significant improvement in terms of service and food quality in order to survive."

"Don’t eat here, don’t trust the reviews….This has to be the worst meal we have ever had. We ordered off the Turkish menu and what was presented was inedible. My husband couldn’t even try his main course due to the thick layer of grease covering the whole dish. We knew after the starters we should have cancelled the rest of the meal but we didn’t want to be rude….The waitress however was very nice."
