"This restaurant experience was absolutely terrible. I am incredibly disappointed to have to leave this review, but I was truly appalled by the poor service. Despite booking a table for my family a few hours in advance, we were seated near a broken child's play area. The table was dirty, sticky, and covered in food and drink marks. The staff seemed to have no care or pride in their work. When our food arrived, there were items missing from our starters and mains. The service was slow and unapologetic, with no offer of a discount for the missing items. The food itself was tasteless and of poor quality. The portion sizes were questionable, with my husband receiving a comically small bowl of soup. Overall, this dining experience was disappointing and we will not be returning. The restaurant needs significant improvement in terms of service and food quality in order to survive."

"We really enjoyed this restaurant, one of the most beautiful spots in Loch Lomond. Although the separate vegan menu was no longer available (we had visited during COVID), there were several vegan options clearly marked on the main menu. We started with a delicious tomato salad and opted for a shepherd’s pie made with lentils for our main course. Both dishes were excellent, but we were truly amazed by the chocolate caramel brownie dessert — it was absolutely delicious!"

"Me and my boyfriend visited the shop after a hike up the cobbler, starving we decided to visit for dinner! due to covid there was a wait to get in, understandable. However, when it was our turn to order we asked for a pizza without a hi or a welcome we were returned with a sarcastic “no” later agreed that one could be made we then asked for a chicken nugget supper and weren’t felt welcomed at all by this older woman. We waited 20 minutes for our food to be told that the pizza had been dropped and there was no more dough left, angry to say the least. We then were asked if we wanted anything else and we said about potato fritters but again where told no. No sympathy or consideration for the fact we’d been waiting for our pizza, no money or offer of anything else was given and ended up paying £8.30 for a chicken nugget supper!! went across the road to the pizza place, will not be back, horrible experience and a terrible service with a terrible manner."

"The location is excellent, and they have an extensive whiskey selection. However, the staff was unfriendly and didn’t offer any assistance or explanations about the whiskey options. We visited several times, but only dined once. The food was decent, but I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the corn nibbles were. The steak sandwich was challenging to eat since it was open-faced. This bar would greatly improve if the staff were more engaging and willing to discuss or explain the whiskey choices. Food rating: 3/5."

"Booked this place for 8 people to celebrate a Graduation. Off to a bad start, no-one greeting guests at arrival and was left standing for at least 5 minutes before a waitress who seemed to have an attitude finally showed us to our table. Service was ok to start with taking drinks and main meal orders reasonably promptly. However when the drinks arrive there was an extra drink that no-one had ordered. The main courses then arrived in dribs and drabs with at least 10minutes(possibly longer) between the first dish arriving and the last one, by which time the fist dishes had cooled noticeably. Food was ok but nothing special. Make sure you check the menu and prices before you go as the costs can quickly escalate. Also we had one guest who likes to enjoy their food and takes their time eating it. This didn 't stop the staff clearing the rest of the table leave this one individual still eating, felt completely inappropriate and a clear sign to get a move on. Ordered desert which again was ok but nothing special. Then the fun of trying to get the bill and pay for it. Our original waitress seemed to have disappeared and finally managed to attract a member of staffs attention from the opposite side of the room. Asked for the bill and eventually someone came over with the bill then walked away. I assumed that they were away getting the payment reader but no. Had to finally flag down the Manager and asked to pay. He did return with the card reader at least. Spoke to the Manager on the way out and expressed our huge disappointment and clearly stated that this would be our FIRST AND LAST TIME . He offered an apology but by that time just wanted to get out of the place. No I would not recommend this place!"
